Seems pricey for a 7 year old 135k mile basic 2wd gasser. But I haven't ever really looked at pricing etc for heavy duty even gas

I don't know if it's just me, but $14k on a single cab truck with 125k miles seems out there.

Yea that’s truck pricing for ya. And that’s on the cheaper side from what I’ve seen.

The wife is pushing for me to get an extra vehicle and I’m like with used truck prices it doesn’t make any sense. Just trade in one of the cars and get an F150 crew cab for 40k. DD and can do work chit except heavy towing.

Used trucks are mad expensive and then it’s extra insurance, registration, and personal property taxes. Plus repairs on a used truck.

For ~$40k you can easily get a used 2018 F150 4x4 supercrew Lariat with the 3.5L eco boost or the 5.0 V8 that's basically new. Heated and ventilated seats, technological stuff, backup camera, keyless deal, huge cab, big (for a half ton...) tow if you get an equipped 3.5L, all the things, probably certified used with factory remainder warranty too

Yup. There was an XLT crew cab with the sport package and 5.0l at my dealer for like 37k. New 2018.

They can’t do any work. They are small as phuck. I was looking at one when I got my Colorado and sat in it and even with the seat all the way back I was cramped. Feels like a corolla inside.

It’s a good off-road vehicle. A great one even. But that’s it. It’s a niche vehicle. But they sell because people want the image.

And not saying I made a good choice with my Colorado. That was a mistake. Had it like a year.

Just small. The backseat is small and car seats barely fit. And they have more room than a Tacoma too. And having a truck bed is nice but also small so fitting anything significant is tough. They can’t tow a lot. Just not all that practical imo.

I mean if you want a truck and don’t have a lot of truck stuff to do then ok. Or won’t have passengers or car seats. Or you have limited stuff that a small truck can handle. But gas mileage between it and a full size truck is insignificant. The full sized trucks drive mich better.

The Colorado you knew you were driving a truck.

Was gonna buy a Taco when I got my Tundra. Wayyy too small. With the seat as far down is it would go it felt like being paralyzed was one bump away. That's how close my head felt to the fuking roof. Back seat area is also tiny.

Do 19x magazines fit in gen 5s? Pretty sure they do and it’s gen 5 mags that don’t fit in 19xs but just wanted to be sure.

Picked up a couple 24 round factory mags today and they seem pretty legit.

Yup. My hair rubbed the roof even in lowest setting. And the floorboard felt like it was lifting my legs. Super uncomfortable.

Yeah, Tacoma and 4Runner is just too small. I really like how they look, how they can be made to look, off road/snow/etc ability when properly equipped, Toyota reliability and durability, but, they are just too small, even for me by myself, I want roooom, let alone passengers/kids/car seats/dogs/cargo...full size or bust. And in a collision with another vehicle, you want more size and mass and crumple zone space on your side if you can. Colorado would have a lot of those same limitations.

I drove a ranger for years that I got for free but eventually got another f-150 bc with kids it just wasn't practical

the f-150 is absurdly big IMO - if I were to buy new instead of used, I was leaning to the double cabs that chevy/gmc had for the increased bed space

Done. My only issue is the magazines. Slide in and click nicely with the upper off but when it's on they don't slide in all the way to click. What gives?

If you're trying to seat a loaded mag on closed bolt, it's naturally going to be tighter and need a good slap to get it all the way in.

Also, you're probably better off just using Magpul mags.

lol yes, all of the crew cabs these days are huge. I rode in the back of the biggest tundra crew cab last year and it felt yuge even compared to my Suburban's back seat. That's why I'm after a crew cab truck and why the majority of F150's sold these days are crew cab 5.5' beds...it's like a full size SUV cab and second row but a short bed out back instead, costs less than the SUV and has more powertrain options. I'm like a lot of buyers, I don't need a third row or a truck bed, but I'd rather have the bed + more vehicle options available and spend less money all at the same time
