watched a Jeffery Dahmer interview, now mind fukked

Was watching an interesting documentary type interview with Jeffery Dahmer. It says something really interesting @ 10:25,

"While Jeffery Dahmer may say things today that it make it seem like he knows what went on in his mind, he does not. All he can tell you is what happened but he cannot stop whatever it is that drove him to kill in the first place."



So are they saying all the chit he's saying as far as his motive to kill is an act? Intresting chit and damn what a weirdo. Now looking for more documenteries on serial killers.

- OP watches interview on Dahmer

- Dahmer comes off as way too normal a person to be a serial killer but under some layers, he's actually quite the creepy fuk

As interesting as it is to interview these guys, I feel like they're giving them too much satisfaction and sense of accomplishment by doing so.

Slothing indoors when the weather is chit and just binge watching that stuff is great. It's fun and when it's 20 degrees outside you have an excuse to sloth (even better when you have some extra curricular activities if you catch my drift). At least it's educational.

I think the real interesting thing about Jeffrey dahmer is his father. His father wrote a book where he tries to figure out why his son did all those murders. Long story short, the father had a lot of violent thoughts about killing people and would do some questionable things in his youth, it really makes you wonder about the things you inherit from your parents

Honestly, watching/reading about these serial killers is interesting as it provides insight into their mind but also lets you develop your street smarts and how to avoid being kidnapped/raped/murdered.

I went through a phase as a teen where I was really interested in serial killers. Starting to see the real world it blew my mind that people like that could walk among us, and I wondered what types of things could be missing upstairs for someone to do that type of stuff. That was in the 90’s though so all the ones I read about were from the 70’s and 80’s. I think our killers reflect our society and the ones back then were much more fascinating. Lots of them were charismatic and smart, and very meticulous in their crimes. In today’s society our killers usually just try to go out with a bang and inflict as much damage all at once. Lots of the serial killers from the 70’s and 80’s suffered head injuries as kids or teens though. I wonder if that could’ve flipped something inside them. I know CTE can lead to depression and suicide or even completely change a person’s personality. It’s quite possible that without those injuries some of our most infamous serial killers would’ve never killed anyone.

Yeah if Im not mistaken it was proven he was a fraud.

If you dont mind reading OP. Look up Jesse Pomeroy. Was the youngest serial killer in history and it happened back in the late 1800's I believe. Thats some wild stuff I'll tell you. Especially the picture of him.

The crazy part about Dahmer, Gacy, Bundy, Dating game killer and maybe others is that the authorities could’ve stopped them early or in the midst of their killing sprees but either didn’t act or literally let them escape and keep going

First off.. I believe most serial killers egos are so strong they hold a few things back in the interviews. I think Bundy is the one that was physically attractive and in one of his prison interviews he intentionally misleads the interviewer multiple times like a cat and mouse thing, or a guy playing mind games at a chess level when the other guy is playing checkers. Now in the Ice Man killers interview hewas mercilessly beaten by his loudmouth alcoholic dad. I believe the source of a lot of this is helplessness.

I also think have a brain related predisposition for it. It could beplastics or chemicals the mother was exposed to in the womb. Could be a chemical imbalance. And i feel sorry for the ones that had kids (believe it or not some of them did) but it could be genetic. What I do believe is theres a series of moments that set the killer into play. The first I believe is helplessness. Dahmers rejection by his peers. Kuklinskis dad mercilessly beating him. Cant remember the others. This creates a “well ill get them” motive. You add this to their lack of empathy or feeling connected and killing gives them power.
