It's trendy.

I mostly just have a short buzz cut and a beard that is just a few mm long. It's a nice clean look and easy to keep.

LOL it's just a fuking haircut. Stop getting all Freudian here. Don't even get me started on these fuking lumbersexuals trying to look rugged yet being 10x more of a dandy than a guy who just gets a clean haircut.

What makes it look stupid isn't the fade, it's the stupid hard part shaved in, or when they trim the bangs slightly to line it up. The top should be natural but these types of barbershops have an obsession with being "fresh". It gets likes on instagram but looks dumb in real life.
