brb less likely to get urine tract infections
brb easier to clean and maintain
brb rubs of my penis nerves so I can last and pound forever in the bed
brb only benefits

A decreased risk of urinary tract infections.
A reduced risk of some sexually transmitted diseases in men.
Protection against penile cancer and a reduced risk of cervical cancer in female sex partners.
Prevention of balanitis (inflammation of the glans) and balanoposthitis (inflammation of the glans and foreskin).
Prevention of phimosis (the inability to retract the foreskin) and paraphimosis (the inability to return the foreskin to its original location).
Circumcision also makes it easier to keep the end of the penis clean.

Note: Some studies show that good hygiene can help prevent certain problems with the penis, including infections and swelling, even if the penis is not

But if we 'wished' we didn't have 'ant eater dicks', we would just get a circumcision, no? So how is it a cope when we can be circumcised if we want to be, but choose not to?

What you gonna do if you decide you want to be uncut, stick your foreskin back on?

Also, erect cut/uncut look pretty much the same.

Sounds like one big COPE to me brah.

naw man - we got a choice - if we as adults wanted to get our skins clipped we can and could. Would we though? Most probably not.

Your choice was taken from you and my boys have that choice for themselves. If they want to give into peer pressure or some girl tells them their dink is ugly and they should chop the skin off... meh that's their choice when adults.

With an erection they look the same pretty much, maybe it repulses females in USA because it's the 'norm', but not elsewhere where it's not the norm.

Makes almost no/negligible difference to infections, especially if you bother to clean your dick... it's not hard to pull your foreskin back.

Infact, it damages the nerves in your tip, making sex less pleasurable for you - the foreskin isn't just there for fun, it has a purpose. This is why you think you 'last longer', because you've literally lost feeling in your penor. 'Only benefits', lol yeah okm8

I understand you didn't have a choice and your parents chose to have your penis mutilated without your consent, so i understand and sympathise with your COPE. If people really think it's beneficial, then they should do it; but it should be THEIR choice as adults.

op should even get banned for making a comparison to fgm

Type I: Also known as clitoridectomy, this type consists of partial or total removal of the clitoris and/or its prepuce.
Type II: Also known as excision, the clitoris and labia minora are partially or totally removed, with or without excision of the labia majora.
Type III: The most severe form, it is also known as infibulation or pharaonic type. The procedure consists of narrowing the vaginal orifice with creation of a covering seal by cutting and appositioning the labia minora and/or labia majora, with or without removal of the clitoris. The appositioning of the wound edges consists of stitching or holding the cut areas together for a certain period of time (for example, girls’ legs are bound together), to create the covering seal. A small opening is left for urine and menstrual blood to escape. An infibulation must be opened either through penetrative sexual intercourse or surgery.
Type IV: This type consists of all other procedures to the genitalia of women for non-medical purposes, such as pricking, piercing, incising, scraping and cauterization.

circumcision has none of the consequences females go thru when its forced on them

Male circumcision does no harm. FGM does. Male circumcision cuts the foreskin, FGM cuts the clitoris—the two things cut are not even remotely the same. For male circumcision to be equivalent to FGM, the entire tip of the male’s penis would need to be cut off.

Yes it does do damage, it causes damage to nerves in the tip of the penis; sex is more enjoyable for uncut bros. The foreskin has a purpose, it's not just there for fun.

But it's pretty clear; if circumcision serves a purpose, it should be an adults choice to have it done. It is not something that should be imposed on children who have no say.

When is circumcision done?
Circumcision is usually performed on the first or second day after birth. (Among the Jewish population, circumcision is performed on the eighth day.) The procedure becomes more complicated and riskier in older babies, children, and men.

How is circumcision done?
During a circumcision, the foreskin is freed from the head of the penis, and the excess foreskin is clipped off. If done in the newborn period, the procedure takes about five to 10 minutes. Adult circumcision takes about one hour. The circumcision generally heals in five to seven days.

Is circumcision necessary?
The use of circumcision for medical or health reasons is an issue that continues to be debated. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) found that the health benefits of newborn male circumcision outweigh the risks, but the benefits are not great enough to recommend universalnewborn circumcision. The procedure may be recommended in older boys and men to treat phimosis (the inability to retract the foreskin) or to treat an infection of the penis.

Parents should talk with their doctor about the benefits and risks of the procedure before making a decision regarding circumcision of a male child. Other factors, such as your culture, religion, and personal preference, will also be involved in your decision.

What are the benefits of circumcision?
There is some evidence that circumcision has health benefits, including:

A decreased risk of urinary tract infections.
A reduced risk of some sexually transmitted diseases in men.
Protection against penile cancer and a reduced risk of cervical cancer in female sex partners.
Prevention of balanitis (inflammation of the glans) and balanoposthitis (inflammation of the glans and foreskin).
Prevention of phimosis (the inability to retract the foreskin) and paraphimosis (the inability to return the foreskin to its original location).
Circumcision also makes it easier to keep the end of the penis clean.

Note: Some studies show that good hygiene can help prevent certain problems with the penis, including infections and swelling, even if the penis is not circumcised. In addition, using a condom during sex will help prevent STDs and other infections.

What are the risks of circumcision?
Like any surgical procedure, there are risks associated with circumcision. However, this risk is low. Problems associated with circumcision include:

Pain
Risk of bleeding and infection at the site of the circumcision
Irritation of the glans
Increased risk of meatitis (inflammation of the opening of the penis)
Risk of injury to the penis

How is it a stupid comparison? A lot of the pleasure of sex comes from the nerve endings in the penis that are protected by the foreskin, obviously without a foreskin there when the nerve endings are constantly being stimulated by clothing and what not they will become desensitised. It's not rocket science. The significance could be debated and maybe it's negligible, but it's not a stretch to observe it exists.

If i was to pull my foreskin back, and try to live like an uncut brah for a day i couldn't do it, because my nerve endings are too sensitive - so clearly circumcision changes the penis to a degree.

Regardless whether it's true or not; the medical 'benefits' have been largely debunked or been shown to be negligible (pulling your foreskin back and washing your dick literally gives all the same 'benefits'). There's absolutely no reason to perform this irreversible procedure on children, it should only be done on adults who consent to it unless there is a legitimate medical reason.

its the same as saying u like chocolate more than i do u cant compare 2 individuals pleasure when there are millions of variables involved

so basically there are a small population of people that have had botched circumsition that is more common in adults getting snipped vs not getting cut and having a higher risk of everything i posted above

if what ur saying is true someone wouldve invented cut ****** underwear with some pillows and **** in the dick area so ur head stays super sensitive

Did not read. Srs

Strong cope.

Circumcision should be an individual’s choice.

Adults males can get one later in life, why are we forcing them on babies?

Just answer the question instead of deflecting.

To reiterate, some rabbis to this day still suck the a baby’s dick after circumcisions. As said earlier better hope that rabbi doesn’t have herpes.

Also how is it humane to cut off some of the penis and not use any anesthesia?

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23374102

"This study confirms the importance of the foreskin for penile sensitivity, overall sexual satisfaction, and penile functioning. Furthermore, this study shows that a higher percentage of circumcised men experience discomfort or pain and unusual sensations as compared with the uncircumcised population. Before circumcision without medical indication, adult men, and parents considering circumcision of their sons, should be informed of the importance of the foreskin in male sexuality."

okbrah lmao. I know you don't want to believe it because you're circumcised, and i honestly feel sorry that this choice was taken from you.

Again, whatever justification you try to come up with it leads to one simple solution; This is a choice for an adult to make about his own body, this is not something to be imposed on babies who have no say.

hmm?
I posted a study in my previous reply regarding the desensitisation that you labelled as nonsense.

Also as i said, the hygiene/infection side of being circumcised is largely negated by just cleaning your penis properly (i.e pulling your foreskin back), but if you really want to refute that, i'll dig out some evidence. But generally speaking, even the studies that show it has benefits show a very, very small percentage - it's certainly not something that can't wait till an individual is an adult and can make their own decision.

Also, correlation =/= causation, if you actually take time to analyse the graph, the higher incidences of HIV/AIDs are also in poor/underdeveloped countries. Europe, for example has a low incidence of HIV/AIDs yet most of us are uncut. This is essentially confirmation bias; looking for patterns to suit your agenda.

globally? because looking at the graph you posted it is 30-40% of Canada and 80-90% of North America (which means it is an abnormal penis) and it looks like it has a direct correlation to lower HIV and STDs as the map i posted earlier.
I know nothing factual but only tell the truth

Idk why people throw such a b*tchfit about something they literally can’t remember. Yes, objectively it’s inhumane and a bit silly but for all practical purposes it doesn’t matter, since you sure as hell don’t have any recollection of the event or pain.

I’ve noticed reddit especially is obsessed with male circumcision and saying it’s equivalent to FGM, when it’s really not.

Lol.

I’m circumcised and it’s had zero effect on my life. Besides aesthetics (a matter of opinion), or for religious reasons (I suspect this is where some of the current “objections” are coming from) there are some very small benefits around cleanliness which, in the modern world, are too small to matter.

From what I’ve seen the only people who really care about this topic are the uncircumcised.

I will do what I want with my children and ignore what the state or anyone else tells me, thanks.

Let’s take an adult male and force him against his will to get a peice of his dick cut off.

Sure it’s in humane but in 20 years he’ll forget about it right?
