"When are you free?"

is a far too open-ended request for a commitment IMO. Doesn't matter who you are, nobody wants to schedule out their free time and commit to something like this in advance. This is why spontaneous, instant plans tend to work best. You need to be there and ready to strike while the iron is hot, not "oh well I'm free five days from now, let me commit to something when I'm not sure if I'll actually feel like doing anything that day"

I can't read her, because she is generally VERY awkward. She goes out of her way to talk to me but then says a few basic lines and then runs away (srs). Shes a goofy pretty chick.
