I'm with you there, as everything before Arthur was solid. The only logic behind picking him for Aladdin that I've read is that his particular style would fit a story about a thief like Aladdin.

Counterpoint to that would be King Arthur like you said, which goes to show that you can't slap Guy Ritchie's style onto just any setting without it coming off as an anachronistic hodgepodge - and that's before randomly throwing "Kung Fu George" into the middle of Arthurian "England."

I'd rather see him go back to witty caper/crime movies and the like, and leave this to some stooge who's content with a cartoon glove up their arse to do the quarterly Disney cash-grab remake.
