Tested my new pump atomizers on this dog **** blind buy I made called Stephane Humbert Black Gemstone. Just wanted to test on a frag I didn't care about before loading it up with the Roja Kuwait as I told you all a few days ago.

Take the train up to my parents' city, hop in uber to their house, walk up to their front porch and hit myself with FIVE sprays of my Kuwait for my grand Christmas Eve entrance annnnnnnd then I realize I grabbed the wrong atomizer and just drowned myself in the horsechit that is Black Gemstone. My older sister (biggest hater ever) was like "EW why do you smell like feet and incense!?"

absolutely rekt me brahs. I made up for it with my Christmas Day SOTD Widian London. But the Black Gemstone had me ALL fuked up.

5ml decant of Versace Eros Flame arrived in the mail today.


I was expecting this to be Eros with a spicy cinnamon opening but I get more citrus than anything in the opening. If possible, imagine Paco Rabanne 1 million but then subtract the spice and the metallic character. That's what Eros Flame is. I'll likely reach for this new year's eve. Don't want to waste niche on a night of debauchery.

I'm deadass brah. I dabble in designers from time to time. I think the quality is god awful but they have their place. I checked fragrantica after I had my initial impressions and look at the third category of notes. Straight citrus.

No but srsly.... I'm thinking to pick up a bottle of OG 1 million. I have 4 bottles in the store. It smells pretty good. Yes it's synthetic but it still smells good as it dries down. Plus the projection is insane on me.

And it's absolutely not outplayed where I live. K I'm gonna take a bottle tomorrow.

Went into work and got the sample you sent. LOL @ "ghetto packaging"! Thanks brah. Is this the Bortnikoff Bonheur? It smells like a chypre to me on the opening. strong stuff, a drop is projecting off the back of my hand.

You must have accidentally threw out the slip of paper i included. It's THE legendary Musk Rose Attar from Rising Phoenix (https://www.etsy.com/listing/2394263..._1&pro=1&frs=1)

The frag is a notorious projection monster. It was one of my full bottle purchases a couple years back, not a bad going out fragrance at all. I just can't tolerate the opening anymore.

I get it" but when I got outside it didn't develop or give me the quality aromas i've come to enjoy from Roja and some of my more artisnal chit. Then again, I just think it was a poor selection for brisk/rainy weather to begin with.

Would be tempted to get a 10ml decant and keep as a bar/club fragrance if i hadn't already smelled it multiple times in the wild.

Chiraq? U on dat dere south side time brah? I'm north side for life. Worst thing that could happen up here is Whole Foods running out of kale.

Every time I think or try to "get" Aventus, I end up relatively indifferent towards it. I just broke it out a week or two ago for lulz and it was the same chit. The only Roja I have was a dun goof when I bought the parfum version thinking it would be like the EDP, just more better.... boy was I wrong. I turn to Slumberhouse or Kerosene or hell, even Etat Libre d'Orange when I want artsy fartsy artisinal chit.

Besides, I don't know how much I trust a guy like this to make my perfume:

I'm indifferent to it as well. Like I said, "I get it" but only for going out and it is the de facto going out scent for every one else so it is therefor useless to me. I'm just saying I at least see why a demographic who predominantly rocks armani code/spicebomb/etc might think it the King of frags. The REAL copers are the dudes that bought full bottles of Viking. Probably the most mediocre release ever.

You have to watch out for Roja as it is like every other perfume house. For every gem, there are two or three chitty frags. Guys like to blind buy partials of Fetish, Scandal, Danger, etc when they go up on the frag groups cause they're the cheapest ones. They can be outright chitty though. If you want the guaranteed gems of Roja, you've gotta get your hands on Vetiver, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Aoud, Amber Aoud, or Elysium. It's a coin toss on everything else, and NEVER pay full price for a Roja.
