The Armaf is awesome. After the first 10 minutes I would say it smells 90-95% Aventus and performs way, way better.

This seems to be the general sentiment but in me experience it wasn’t very similar. I only got a small decant from a split though so it’s possible the juice went bad or wasn’t authentic. I will say that their CdN intense woman is 95% similar to Noir de Noir which it is meant to be a clone of so I would assume my experience with the Aventus clone is most likely due to bad juice.

You are on the right path man. I am def in the owning too many camp, although there is no way i would ever cut down to just 8 ( i get too bored with **** now), i would ideally love to be at half the size i have now which would put me at about 25-30 bottles total. I def wear all of mine every day and i have no fear whatsoever of them spoiling anytime soon. They are in a closet and not subject to extreme swings in temperature so they will be fine for years to some.

speaking of Creation E, i tried it a bunch of times (bought an edp, sold it and bought the extrait) and never felt comfortable wearing it. It was too spicy and i just didnt like the way it smelled on me. Its not anything i would love to smell like.

Does anyone have any experience with the Zenga Essenze line? i was at an outlet and tried a bunch of them and they seemed surprisingly well don. Indonesian out and Italian Bergamot stood out to me. I know ive read about Haitian Vetiver, but im not a huge vetiver fan and the store didnt have that one.

Ps. if you guys have access to the Estee lauder outlet (the cosmetic company), they have tomfords on sale for 40% some of them are decently priced. I bought a body spray of Noir de Noir for $30. I like the smell, but the EDP is a bit too strong and gets cloying after a while.

There's a frag I want that is discontinued, but Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdale's have it on their site. Any of you bros ever bought a "discontinued" frag that was listed on their site? I could probably go to Neiman Marcus in person though and see if they have some there.

ironically, I've tried the more exotic Roja's but not the "youtube-hyped" Elysium. I would definitely classify Saudi Arabia as a special occasion and/or summer scent though ALTHOUGH I would recommend Bahrain instead of Saudi Arabia because Saudi has like pine tree top note with a oud base and Bahrain has a citrus-lemon opening with oud base.

SOTD: Nothing. I have a light cold today. Stuffy/Runny nose and sneezing occasionally. so I'm going commando today fellas.

I might just keep both and buy Bahrain next year lol. How is the performance of Saudi Arabia on you? I’m getting about 5-6 hours of longevity and 2 hours of projection. I just wished it performed better for the price point.

Exactly what I smelled in the sample that made me want to make it my creation-e replacement. In the front you predominantly smell leather and cedar. As it dries down you get wafts of the tobacco and nutmeg. Great cold weather daily driver.

Pics:
Spoiler!

For size comparison

INCLUDED SAMPLES

Piotr Czarnecki - Venom of Angel:(Coconut, olibanum, black pepper, aloe vera, sugar cane, rum, ivy, cedar, white chocolate). This is so fuking confusing. The opening is an absolutely delicious sweet-candy aroma. It quickly flips to kitchen cleaner and then to diluted baccarat 540. Cool name, intriguing ingredients but this is a big no for me.

Widian - Limited 71:(Bergamot, nutmeg, coriander, patchouli, amber gris, oud, white musk, dry amber, incense). Horrible. I get zero bergamot. This is just dirty fecal oud, incense, and nutmeg. Bad.

Xerjoff - Mefisto Gentiluomo:(bergamot, lavender, lemon, grapefruit, iris, rose, violet, amber, cedar wood, musk) Well first off i'm annoyed because I wanted Uden Overdose. This is mainly a bergamot, lavender, and grapefruit. Lame and forgetable.

Boadicea Victorious - Explorer:(Sicilian lemon, citron, cypress, orris, violet, tobacco, Tuscan leather, oud) Finally, something nice. In the front you get some tobacco mixed with lemon. Feeling slightly like a goober because this might be a better winter daily driver than my Piotr Kiviskin purchase and there's no way I could get this sold off due to the highly niche nature of it. This is the 2nd or 3rd Boadicea that has been a pleasant surprise. Going to be on the hunt for the entire house in 2019.

This sounds fuking delicious.

3 Rojas (looking to sell 1)
5 Areej Le Dore (looking to sell 1)
2 Bortnikoff (looking to sell 1)
1 Piotr Czarnecki

I think you have the right mindset. I've smelled literally dozens of niche stuff this year but only pulled the trigger on 7 bottles the entire year. In my opinion you're really not getting into the area of "stupid excess" until you reach 20+

Tough question, but probably would be Amber Aoud Absolue Precieux. This is what amber aoud should have been in the first place. Def not worth anything close to retail though.

Saudi would def be in the running.

SOTD: Roja Saudi Arabia.

Elysium has definitely grown on me over the course of this year. I'm on the hunt for a good deal on the Extrait, and i like the fact that the top notes are not as brash as the parfum cologne . I still regret not grabbing a bottle when It fell to the mid 200's a few weeks back. The blue bottle will suffice for now.

Interesting, I haven’t tried Saudi but Kuwait while not a projection bomb keeps a nice little scent bubble until I shower. Enigma a little less

Yeah agreed, I have a small sample off this as well. It actually reminds me of Nasamato Duro ( that bandaid Oud) with the candy floss sweetness of BR540. Then later in the dry down I pick up what seems to be a dry dusty Vetiver. Just an odd mix

I’m really enjoying Blessed Baraka though and the presentation is badass

This one starts out with patchouli, tobacco, chocolate, and raspberry. Dries down to raspberry, cedar, patchouli, and tobacco. Everything smells very natural, still strong AF 6 hours later. This is definitely a full bottle purchase for me.

Hmmm I rate them both a 9.5/10 but they’re two totally different vibes. BR540 is way more versatile, people pleasing etc...OSM is way more situational.. It’s s sweet but it’s on the powdery side, it’s got this musky powdery vanilla dry down that’s just straight addicting to me. I would highly advise sampling first and sample properly....it takes a while for it to settle down. OSM leans more fem and performance is nuclear 1-2 sprays max under clothes and your set. If I had to keep one it would be BR540
**Misc Cologne Crew**

Decants available. Amouage, CDG, Le Labo, MFK, Byredo Canada Only.

It's really quite simple....... either you do it or you don't.
