Not sure what the scent of the day should be. I have some Mugler Hot Cologne lingering from my desk from a few drops I put there yesterday.

Sauvage sounds like it might be interesting, but all I have is the first release EDT.

I have recently been theorizing that the bottles of Green Irish Tweed actually get better with age, as the natural elements die down.

I got this impression from analyzing Armaf's Tres Nuit (which is supposed to be a clone or impression of GIT). A fresh bottle is pretty stingy, and borderline sour green. However, the fragrance seems to actually getbetterwith age, as the natural ingredients give way and lighten up the fragrance so that it's perceptibly sweeter, fresher, and more tolerable. Hence, I suppose the name Tres Nuit (Night Treasure/Treasure of the Night), might have been symbolic of this potential Easter egg. With the term "Night" meaning the time when the natural ingredients begin to die, or fade to black; thus producing a hidden treasure out of the fragrance.

Happy new year guys, thanks to you (and youtubers) 2018 was the year I started buying high-end designer fragrances and enjoy this wonderful world of amazing scents. My first big name was in 2017 (AdG Essenza) but all that followed it were in 2018.

In 2018 I bought an other Essenza, AC Profumo, Dylan Blue, Eros, Bleu de Chanel EDP, Terre d'Hermés EDP, AdG Profumo, CH Men, Tom Ford Noir Extreme, D&G The One EDP, Zara Vibrant Leather and finally in the last day of the year I pulled the trigger on YSL La Nuit de l'Homme Le Parfum (EDP of course).

I was torn between it and the original that I also loved the scent since it has the sexiest scent ever Cardamom, but I was worried about performance issues because of the reformulations. So I picked the EDP version that has a really similar scent despite not having the cardamom. I bought it and went back to my office, applied only 1 spray on my wrist, just one, and sat there. 30 minutes later, my coworker walked through the corridor and then she came back to my office telling me that there's an extremely beautiful scent in all the corridor, I gave her my wrist to smell it and she said yeah that's it, and had those dreamy eyes and soft moans of pleasure.

I'm surprised about this projection potency, I didn't expect that, I thought this version is weak like the original EdT. Longevity, it will project for some hours but you will still smell it for a long long time, yesterday I applied it at 2PM and woke up today at 6AM still smelling it from my chest area.


My fidelity card from the frag shop has the equivalent of 85 USD available, I'm seriously thinking of buying the EdT despite the weak performance, as I really love the smell, very very very much.

The most commonly recommended Aventus clone is Armaf - Club de Nuit Intense Man. Most people you run into won't be able to tell the difference and it's about 1/10th the price.
