Agreed, definitely very pretty.

On Blackjack they gave him a shot to knock him out, the gave him an antibiotic shot, then gave him one for pain. He was very groggy and whiny when he got back but today back to oldself. I'm going to get the lab blood results shortly today!

The main thing vet wanted to know was his thyroid. Because he's like so big, and fat. Lily is skinny and has never been overweight yet they eat and exercise the same with very VERY little handouts. So be glad when that's checked. Even more glad if nothing wrong.

Tho once the weight is on, it's hard to take off. I did have him neutered early on since I never wanted to breed him.

Nice, I found they tend to have the least amount of health issues among purebreds too. The baying bark just turns off some, but always thought they were healthy and great personality dogs.

Blackjack does have a urinary tract infection. I seen no symptoms. It took us forever to get a urine sample from him because he doesn't go outside my yard. But he'll be on meds for a few to fix that.

Hope the meds clear the infection right up. Everything else came back ok?

I went to shelter this morning and walked the 5 little doggos they had there. Spent about 1.5 hours walking them. A couple of them were strays, I really hope their families find them before Christmas. So sad to think about your beloved doggo being lost, especially during the holidays.

My mother recently got a new puppy. His name is Pablo aka bubbers and he’s the only boy dog in the house lmao!

Sometimes I call him Yoda because of his ears

My mother surprised me with this pic and stated he loves looking at himself in a mirror lul

Awwwww!!!!! He's so cute and that mirror pic is hilarious! I just walked a chihuahua this morning at the shelter. She was so scared at first, I had to just stand there with my hand inside her cage waiting for her to be ok with me. She finally got up and came close enough for me to get her out.

Yeah, the couple I've walked the past month were definitely scared. I don't know if it was this same one from today, but there was one huddled up in the corner last time I was there and wouldn't come out of corner so I didn't walk it. Didn't want to grab it and scare the crap out of it.

just a couple pics of my pup,

hinting at a belly rub

on the lookout for squirrels

I'd recommend checking out Dogs on netflix if you haven't seen it. I believe there's 6 episodes, but I haven't watched them all. The 1st episode deals with service dogs being paired with kids with special needs, and someone started cutting onions in the living room.

I also watched 2 episodes about dog rescues. One is in Costa Rica w/ 300 acres and up to 1200 dogs at one point. The other rescue is in New York City. Both were interesting, though the one in Costa Rica was an eye-opener.

I hope you all have had a great holiday season.

Legz, he appreciates your kind words! Yeah this thread definitely needed a bump.

Here's a Christmas pic, didn't quite turn out as well as I was hoping. I may have ordered this on amazon late one night while I was a little buzzed. It didn't fit him well at all so I did the best I could with it. Next Xmas will be better!

I need to see that. And a Dogs Purpose. Wasn't that a movie out a year or two ago?

Here's my boo begging for apples. He loves cucumbers and apples and sits and begs while I make my salad, then sits on the other couch and begs while I eat my apple.

Glad he's doing good. Pit bulls for life!

Do single men volunteer at shelters often? It would be great, I spent half of my life working in kennel tech and then was able to perform lots of other tasks in vet offices.

And yes that is the movie based on the book by the same author who wrote "A Dog's Purpose". Some boycotted that movie though because of something I forget exactly what. The director got frustrated with a scene they were trying to film and the dog just doesn't cooperate and they kept putting him through retakes of it.. The scene was the goldie jumps into a lake to save someone (his owner I assume).

Donald trump needs to bring a pit bull into the White House like Woodrow Wilson and Theodore Roosevelt.

I read trump never even owns a dog let alone will get a pit during his presidency.

I miss our two oldest babies

Kelso "Best dog ever!"

Jackie

Lost Kelso last week due to old age...his heart and kidneys just couldn't handle it anymore. Jackie beat cancer last year but it came back suddenly and aggressively wrecked her. It's been a rough 5 weeks. I need to get some good pics of our remaining three; Fez, Leo and Stevie.

So I fell for one of the advertisements on IG for a dog chain. Thought it would be fun as a goof for a pic or something, which I guess it is. But $20 for a cheap piece(s) of plastic from China. well played IG...

Thanks. For 14 years she was the sweetest girl ever!

She used to love being covered in a blanket and then trying to bite the "invisible hand". So playful and so much fun.
