why don't white people have cousins?

every other group of people are always hanging out with cousins and other extended family.

whites don't seem to have any relations beyond the nuclear family. why is this? why not keep in touch with anyone?
imo, this is a big reason why divorce rates are so high. the larger the family unit the stronger the support network.

one isolated nuclear family has the odds stacked against them in this degenerate society.

You're a good son boyo. I worry about my aunt since she has no kids of her own and who will take care of her. It will be more than likely me. Plus my momma <3

Gotta make sure they are comfortable. The only thing is right now my aunt takes care of my grandmother who is wheelchair bound and can't do anything for herself. My aunt has to put diapers on for her and stuff like that. They need someone else to take care of her. A licensed nurse or caretaker b/c I see my aunt is stressed. That's the only benefit I see of a nursing home but even then IDK brah.


OP I'm close with a lot of my cousins, but not as much as I was when I was younger. I consider them friends of mine and keep in contact with a lot of them. Southern black people I think are really close to their extended family.

Lots of white people are close with cousins but they tend to be poor. In a nutshell I think its because when youre poor there are advantages to knowing them - communal dinners to share food, share clothes, share toys, someone who wants to hang out without spending money etc

Ah yeah that's a tough situation. I think that's part of the reason I'm hoping I die before I get too old. Don't want anyone to have to feed me or change my diapers. I just feel like nursing homes would be sad AF. My mom actually works at one and the damn ambulance is there daily taking away people who died. The turnover rate is pretty crazy as I understand it. Think about living around a bunch of people who were dying left and right.... no thanks. I want my parents to be comfortable. Thankfully my dad has always been smart about saving for retirement so I most likely have nothing to worry about.

......because the whole family doesnt live in the same block of projects.

I have 7 cousins and over 30 second cousins and the only one I actually like to hang with is a huge dyke lol. Shes the only family member within 5+- years of my age, so that probably has a lot to do with it.

I don't talk to my cousins either. I never needed to borrow money from them or ask them if they could get me a job.

I guess I just don't need my extended family. I have my own, they have their own.

For a while a lot of my family lived in the Atlanta area. Mom/Dad in one part, Aunt, Uncle and his wife, and Grandma in different parts. My other relatives lived 2-3 hours away. I do miss that TBH now that we are more separated.

My dad has one brother, he's gay and never had kids. My mom has two sisters, one never married with no kids, the other has two kids, so I have two first cousins. We spent time together when we were kids, but now one lives in Seattle, the other lives in Boston, and I live in Florida. We see each other maybe once a year if there's a family event or something. I think in this day, upper-middle class people tend to not all live around their extended family because white-collar jobs move them around and it's easier to move up in your career when you're willing to move. Also upper-middle class people are having far fewer babies than lower class people.
