Kinda mad I made too much rice
Just made rice for the first time
Put 4 cups in rice cooker the little rice cooker cups not a full American cup
Chopped onion and peppers and some garlic and some seasoning and sauce
Made a ton of rice at the end
Ate some
Have a bunch left
Apparently rice can only stay 1-2 days in fridge wtf
Gonna eat some tomorrow and trash it
Unless someone wants to come over for rice tomorrow
Rice was a bit too wet and a little hard but should he fine after a microwave

rice lasts a long time, and you can make MANY different meals with all that rice, like stirfry chicken breast and rice, ground beef and rice, casserole with potatoes and rice, or even bean and rice recipes, etc.
if you're cooking for yourself, you usually only want to make like 1 or 1 and a 1/2 cup.

Definitely good for more than a few days. Get some fried rice seasoning, bag of frozen peas/carrots/green beans, some bacon, canadian bacon, chicken and eggs and make up a bunch of fried rice. That will last a few days as well.

I made rice for the first time
Don’t know how to cook
Am trying recipes
What’s the problem?
I think the cooker I got is just too huge should have got a small one
Will eat some rice today then trash it
Next time I’ll try 2 cups of rice and much less water
White rice is soo much easier than brown rice
Also want to try actually cooking chicken in the cooker with the rice

Bro - most rice cookers are a 1 cup minimum, check what yours is and if you can make 1 cup at a time.... f'n GOAT - perfect rice every.single.time. Not sure what on this flat earth would possess you to make 4 freaking cups, but no worries mah man, learning experience.
I'm about to throw 1 cup in my InstantPot rn, let it make itself to perfection while I cook some eggs and bacon. Hnnnngggg.

I cooked regular white but ideally want to cook brown but brown taste so bad
The rice I made was sticky af and wet, I think I used too much water
Still tasty
I made Spanish rice with chick peas, chopped onion and pepper, garlic powder, tomato sauce, sofrito, and a little olive oil
I do notice a weird taste which was the same as when I made brown rice. Not sure if it’s from the cooker itself or the water inside the chick peas can. Next time I won’t pour that pea water in
Edit, my cooker is like a 20 cup so 1 cup would look so empty lol
My eventual goal is to cook brown rice with chicken and eat it with some microwaved broc**** to cut

Also make sure the recipe you followed is for a rice/pressure cooker - with my instantpot some ingredients cause it to go to chit real fast or they burn in the cooker but wouldn't normally. I pretty much use mine for: rice, chicken, chili, sweet potatoes.
I cook chicken in it regularly also (not sure if you can with a 'rice cooker' tho?), comes out the same every single time. Toss it in on the rack to keep it out of the water, add spices, set it and forget it. Amazeballs.
