modifying cars is stupid srs

misc, i have come to the conclusion modiyfing cars is stupid af srs.

I get the thrill of it, extracting more power, working on the car, getting better sound, etc.

But at what cost?

1. drastically decreases the value when you eventually want to sell i.e no real enthusiast will pay you top dollar for a stanced out car with full bolt ons and aftermarket everything
2. decreases reliability
3. You'll be on the cops radar without a doubt
4. Bye bye warranty
5. somebody will always be faster

Believe me I've been tempted to go full bolt ons on my cars, but had second thoughts once I realized that i probably wouldn't keep the car forever and it is a massive waste of money. The ONLY thing I'll do performance wise is a tune.

if you fell in love with the car for what itcouldbe, why the fuk did you buy it? If im not happy with the performance of the car STOCK then its not worth the purchase. Just buy a faster car.
Look, i know i don't really know you and all, and i know you probably hear this like everyday, but your just so perfect to me. The few hours we talked were really great even if the convo was stale, your really pretty and chill, and your country thats just perfect :'D i really dont know how to explain it, but i think i have feelings for you somehow. i never felt like this with someone i just met, but i felt the need to get it off my chest. sorry for being all weird just idk how to explain it D:

Because Lexus put a quiet exhaust on the car, I fixed that and kept the stock system (easy enough to swap back if I sell).

1) as long as you retain the matching numbers engine and don’t butcher the body it’s fine
2) cars from the factory are build to a budget. Modifying is a chance to upgrade cooling systems and strengthen/balance rotating components for greater reliability
3) cops care about dumb driving, not modified cars. There is no reason modifications need to be visually identifiable.
4) never seen a modified car that was still under warranty. Most warranties are worthless anyway.
5) someone will always be stronger too but does that stop you going to the gym? Probably.

Now op if you’re having trouble making the payments on your ke77 corolla I feel for you but money isn’t a limiting factor for everyone.

In summary, streets closed pizza boy. Find another way home.

Don't let that distract you from the fact that Hector is gonna be running 3 honda civics with spoon engines.

Also, I just destroyed a modded mazdaspeed 3 earlier today and i am bone stock.

does anyone watch rich youtube car boys like dustin williams and tjhunt?

my god they just take rare jdm legends like the r32 or a supra and just gut the damn thing for stance goals. Dustin Williams had a Type R, that he probably paid huge markup for because brb Norm Reeves, modded it, and sold it basically because "the car was already good from the factory and I couldn't reach my mod goals". Lost so much money most likely

also, would absolutely destory dustin William's girlfriend.

Devin Niemela > Dustin Williams > TJ Hunt

I can't stand TJ. He's a bit too annoying for my taste, and is a skinny doesn't-even-lift ****. IMO Devin has the hottest girl out all of them, plus I respect the work that he puts into his projects (especially his Evo X). Dustin is right about the Type R; its godly from the factory so he couldn't do much with mods = less views.

Op does have some good points.

The single most noticeable "mod" you can do on any car is upgrade the sound system. Even 100k Mercedes, Audi, ect have speakers that sound like garbage at any moderately elevated volume. Its ridiculous how bad stock audio is across the board. Seems like only 200k+ super cars have respectable speakers, Morel, Focal, ect.

Agree. Would only mod if I had 80k to pay a tuner to take a 30k stock into something like this
