The only reason this story is causing uproar is because of the age, which he had no idea. Take age out of it and it's pretty cut and dry. Girl looks like she's scrapped before and threw those hands up like Mayweather ready to take out Andre the Giant
But I can guarantee, she learned a hard lesson and will think twice about doing that again!

I don't feel sorry for that girl for trying to fight him. But yeah, it was too excessive considering the size and weight difference.

Unfortunately the video is trimmed so we don't have what really happened.
I browsed through the reddit thread and got that back story... However, intervening in a confrontation could mean ANYTHING.

I can't wait to hear her story when it goes to trial. "My friends and I were buying bibles before we went to church when this vicious man attacked me!"
Nah.
Perhaps he was wrong for hitting her with a closed fist? Would slapping her have been a more acceptable alternative? But seriously what are you supposed to do when surrounded by a group like that and confronting an aggressive individual who is confident enough to push you starting a physical confrontation, then comes at you when you push them away? Are you allowed to start physical confrontations when you are under 18? Or when you are a woman? Or do you gotta have both victim cards (young and female) to be allowed to do that? Srs what constitutes the reason she is allowed to start a physical confrontation but not be responsible for her actions? Seems to me if it was a 14 y/o dude no one would blame the old guy for doing that.
I swear liberals can justify any bad behavior these days.

He shouldn't have pushed her, and she shouldn't have come at him, but at 12 years old you don't think like an adult. He fukked up by making that first physical aggressive contact.
No idea how you guys are out here pretending like there isn't a large part of your faculties left undeveloped at 12.

As an adult you are held to a higher standard.
You have been alive long enough that you should know the consequences of your actions.
Things become less acceptable with age because of the experience that comes with it.

I'd love to sit on his jury. I'd laugh in the prosecutors face when he reads the charges. That was clearly self defense.

Being stupid and undeveloped isn't an excuse. The only reason this happened was cause this little chit thought he wouldn't hit her and that she could do whatever they wanted.

Perhaps your parents taught you differently, but my parents taught me to respect my elders and quite frankly I'd never have the gall to get in an older individuals face male or female especially if I was in the wrong to begin with. How many times at age 12 did you square up on an older person as a bunch of your friends watch?
I think the reason question is why are these kids out unsupervised?

The guy was ****ed up for Frazier'ing that person like that, and the chick was ****ed up for approaching him to punch him, but the man is more at fault. He's an adult and knows that what he did isn't acceptable. It'd be a different story if she attacked him unprovoked. Also, I like the form on the punch. Nice, solid follow through.

I've stated before that she shouldn't have done that.
However, as an adult, his mistake weighs more. It's not self-defense if he's the first person to make it physical and he could have left that altercation at any point.
One of the most important things I've learned in my life is that some fights are not worth it, and I'm half this guy's age. So where does that leave us with him?
You can't ignore that fact.
This is why he was wrong for this. Because he made physical contact first, and then decked her. That's on him.

Being stupid and undeveloped isn't an excuse. The only reason this happened was cause this little chit thought he wouldn't hit her and that she could do whatever they wanted

If we're just looking at video context, there were several points that he could have de-escalated and/or left.
Just as an FYI to anybody, it's not self-defense if you attack first.
He attacked first.
It's really that simple.
I never said the kid was right. I was trying to explain how much more wrong and unnecessary the actions of the adult were. In doing so, I probably rustled anybody who said "I'd do the same thing!" Because deep down you know it was wrong, and it was a stupid game played for a stupid prize.
Knocking out a 12 year old girl is not anything anybody should be proud of.
The weakest actions are the ones that require the least effort.

I would have restrained her, asked where her dad was, and gone down to the prison to slap him around.
A million miles away - I don't.. feel.... anything.

Dude was surrounded by hyenas. He made the wrong decision but she didn't help either. If you don't teach your kids manners then somebody else will and he certainly did.
Promise you she won't do that chit again. Bish will have nightmares for the rest of her life.
Equal rights, equal left. LOL
