I weigh my meats cooked.

When weighing it raw you're weighing the water content in the meat therefore the meat is heavier.

I weigh rice and pasta dry.

But if I did that it would just mean I ate less calories not more so that's not where my error every one is talking about is coming from.

I don't use any type of oil or grease when I cook.

Dry pan chicken, dry pan steak.

If you're looking at calories in cooked chicken, then obviously you need to weigh it when it's cooked and vice versa.

I weight everything raw cos it's easier and more accurate.

So much truth. People don't walk around with post-its on their forehead of numbers. Numbers can become obsessive and then you're like my friend who works out in her room for hours and then teaches fitness classes and just goes overboard and breaks her foot.

I have to laugh at advice like "eat the same boring chit daily. Chicken and Rice "....... Um....no thanks. How about just learn sound nutritional practices. I still have left room for weekly eating pizza, icecream 3-4 times a week, pasta, dairy daily in ALL my cuts. No foods have ever made me fat. (excessive quantities of any food make me fat). And before you say it....I was not always a lean individual.
Well I disagree with you. I'm not saying this as a long term 100% definite approach. I'm suggesting it as a means to eliminate problem foods. There are a lot of foods that cause me GI distress and bloating. I figured out what they were by doing what I suggested for a short period of time. I can now eat whatever I want, as long as I pay attention to the rest of my day. Unlike may others, I gain fat VERY easy.

Learning your own body, and how it reacts to certain things makes staying/getting lean much easier. We can just agree to disagree. Everyone hits their goals in different ways. I'm merely suggesting a way that would help Leo learn a good amount about his body.

Unless you’re competing or modeling or at very low bf already, it just doesn’t make sense to me to focus on details so much if you just need to lose fat.

You can already reach a very good degree of aesthetics by just lifting say 4-5 days a week and controlling your overall daily calories. No more is needed unless you’re truly going for another level, which he is nowhere close to.
Well I just disagree with you. We will leave it at that.

This was me at the end of my last cut. I really can't tell what the final bf% was. I store a lot in my ass and legs so if I did a body scan, it would probably return with a much higher bf% than my torso would otherwise indicate. I'd say I could be anywhere between 11-14% in this picture:

it's funny how perception shifts across the months. I don't remember being this lean and back then, I thought I had a long way to go. Now, I've been slow bulking for just about a year and have put on 15 pounds. I'm nowhere near this lean so this thread is making me feelbatman.jpeg. Need to soldier on, though. Will probably begin a 16 week cut in February-March. I'm quite confident that with the mass I've gained in the past year along with myself being careful to not put on heaps of excess body fat, I'll be able to dip below this picture in the end. Slow and steady progress, each year.

Not 49, but I am 46. No it is not easy for anyone unless you are born at 10% and been the type that stays there your enire life regardless of what you do. That is not me, but 10 years of consious eating has changed that and this is my shape without obsessing now. (I no longer macro count and only track protein). I balance my macros in my head. I eat anything I want and just make it work on a daily/weekly basis. I endulge in pizza, icecream, cookies,....even a few beers and glass or two of wine. Cant ever resist a mexican lunch. At the end of the day, you can make it all work. But learn the fundamentals first and this does not happen over night.

BUT I did spend 4+ years weighing EVERYTHING I ate and planning every macro. Never staying the same weight 2 weeks in a row. Either eating a 250-300 cal surplus (for 4-5 months) and then a 500-750 cal deficit. Over and over and over.

Now I just stay the same year round since I cant gain any more mass (which took me 16 months to figure out). My last 2 attempts at 'eating up' netted no real LBM despite trying as best I could. So my goals these days are to just 'stay in shape'.

Not enough leg pics on this site! I like this relaxed pic.

There are plenty of science based factual answers... You just choose to hope you are a unicorn and then feel like someone shot your dog when you find out you aren't.

Just start logging your intake start your 1 lb per week journey (500 cal deficit per day) and EVENTUALLY you will make it. It takes time and dedication. It isn't complicated, but it is hard.

I am about to start the spring cutters 2019 crew you are more then welcome to join us on our journey.

The answer isn't the phucking same because I asked the same phucking question in the nutrition forum and got a different answer.

Do you know why McDonald's works? You know why they are so successful?

Because they have a duplicatable system. It's exact.

There's no guessing they don't teach new owners by saying well this is what I intuitively did.

And the whole age thing you obviously don't get the context of my post.

I asked specifically on nutrition forum if I should count raw meat calories. They said yes.

Here ITT they said count cooked calories.

On Lyle McDonalds forum they say count raw calories. Although I'm still waiting on an answer from Lyle himsef.

Here's my thread with question.https://forum.obnoxiousbrutes.com/showt...post1571227771
