Guys guys, the Kel Tec CP33 is here. While ugly as piss, this 22lr holds 33 rounds of 22lr. What a cool plinker.

It is big for what it needs to be that's for sure. I'm guessing they are going for the brace conversion route. That would look cool af. I shoot poverty 22lr and give zero fs. Plinking is fun.

knowing Cal-tac it's probably going to be 299-399 so it'll be cheap enough to strongly want it but it might blow apart in your hands

gun goals for 2019 are almost complete. they include:

building all my stripped lowers into complete rifles. still need castle nuts, retainer plates and two carbine buffer assemblies for carbine length 5.56 AR15s. package from aero came today too. like christmas

buying more 9mm, .22lr, 5.56 and 7.62x39 ammo (lower priority)

buy a few more random parts for G3, SCAR and AK




that has to be it though. god willing, none of those atrocious new laws will make it through and in a few years i can buy some more glocks and a beretta 92F

Would you guys rather have a glock 43 (so 6+1) and one back up mag, or that new Kaltec with 30 rounds of .22 in it, and another 30 round back up for a self-defense situation

Isn't that type of warranty a little outdated now? It seems like most of the optics companies have gone to a no questions asked repair/replace warranty now.

Eh, not really. Not too many outside of Vortex I know of will repair or replace for absolutely any reason whatsoever.


I don't see a problem with that. It's not the companies responsibility to have to eat the cost of my negligence.

I would not expect free fix/replace of expensive glass that I broke because I dropped it on concrete while switching to my secondary. I mean, because it fell off the bench at the range. Okay, okay, it fell off my table in the kitchen.

I'm not sure. I've had both for years, but, I still don't know lol

Mostly I think it just doesn't matter.

I used to say the greenish yellow, I think my eyes pick it up faster (fancy .gov and big corporate types who opted for yellow safety vests for first responders and construction etc I think say research shows the bright yellow is picked up best FWIW)

But now I might say orange, if only because other sights are only available in orange and not that greenish color so it's consistent that way (like the Ameriglo sights for Gen5, orange) and I got used to orange since I have multiple pistols with orange up front now too

Can't really go wrong either way


Edit: Damn that's cheap. My only arms unlimited experience was years ago, they said something was in stock so I ordered it, a month later it was still backordered while the website still showed in stock so I canceled.

Edit: Leupold may not. It seems like I've read reviews where they did fix things for free that people sent in expecting to pay for. But I dunno. Maybe Burris and Vortex are leading that pack.

But there's companies that do. If you're spending as much as the good optics cost these days, why wouldn't you go with a company that offers no questions asked repairs? It's not like the whole shooting/hunting community demanded it be this way. They offered it.

Ahugepart of Burris' and Vortex's line is Asian made stuff that costs so little to produce that the no questions asked replacement is worth eating for the bragging point.

High end US and Euro made optics cost exponentially more to produce, so it's going to be much harder for companies to just eat replacements or repairs on optics that cost several hundreds to even thousands of dollars in cost because the customer is stupid and negligently broke it.

Leupold will definitely fix things that are their products fault. But negligence is hit or miss. They may repair/replace for free, and they might charge you for it.

But you know Burris and Vortex have a very large market share of the high end scopes also, and they're all covered the same. There are a ton of Razors out there being abused. I'm just saying that I don't see why somebody would go with a scope company that doesn't offer a warranty for accidental screw ups when you have great scopes that are covered. It's not like only the cheap ones are covered.

I'm interested in who offers what now so I think I'm going to make a template and fill it out for each company and post it. Might make a good reference. Going to be a little complicated though because you have companies like Bushnell that say "X, Y, Z model is covered with a lifetime NQA warranty while model A,B,C is covered with a lifetime manufacturer defect warranty, and model D,E,F is covered a by a 5 year warranty"
