Wow.

I guess now that I think about drives through FL, that makes sense. There's just more there to distract you from it than the endless corn and soybeans in the great lakes/midwest I guess

AZ rank 7, not surprising to AZ residents but probably surprising to non residents.

The last time I've been in the midwest states was 10 years ago when I drove from Chicago to Phoenix. Went from Chicago > St Louis > Oklahoma City > Amarillo > Albuquerque > Phoenix.

Based on the environments I drove through, I wouldn't want to live anywhere except Ozarks area of Missouri, Albuquerque is ok. Didn't realize how much I liked mountains until I came down the Colorado Plateau in AZ going towards Phoenix.

That rank is average elevation not the spread we've been talking about. Arizona is way up there with a spread of over 12k feet. So you want mountains, yeah, AZ works...12k feet of gain somewhere in there

Make fun all you want, but I love it here in Iowa. I can't imagine being anywhere else. My family settled the area I grew up in back in the mid 1800's. Family plot in one of our farms has graves as early as 1851. The land is truly a part of me. I get anxiety when I am out of state.

That would be the San Francisco peaks (Humphrey's Peak). It also doesn't hurt that we have one of the largest holes in the ground.

Yeah I'm just saying that I think most people's impression of AZ is a flat hot desert when in reality its environment is extremely diverse. Even the PHX area, which is in a large flat(ish) desert valley (I think about 1k altitude) is surrounded by fairly large mountains, with big mountain ranges and high altitudes within a couple hours

Yeah too bad we gave back a lot of land to Mexico. The original Gadsden purchase was supposed to give AZ a lot of baja land. AZ should've had ocean access. We're also currently conceding AZ to CA and back to Mexico in one form or another.

You take away the red dot to get back the Tritium iron or do u leave the red dot on

That’s all I know it for. Literally smelled like sh*t the entire drive through Iowa highways and it was with the windows closed. That sh*t went through.

Inb4 it’s us that smelled like sh*t, no thanks James it was the farms and their cows.

When we went to Arkansas despite so many people having cows in the front of their homes, it didn’t smell like sh*t there.

Still laugh when I think of the Walmart stop in Iowa during the trip to Colorado.. we stopped in Iowa then and man oh man have I never felt like an alien before 🤣🤣 the stares and jaw drops were hilarious

It's not like only the cheap ones are covered.

I'm interested in who offers what now so I think I'm going to make a template and fill it out for each company and post it. Might make a good reference. Going to be a little complicated though because you have companies like Bushnell that say "X, Y, Z model is covered with a lifetime NQA warranty while model A,B,C is covered with a lifetime manufacturer defect warranty, and model D,E,F is covered a by a 5 year warranty"
Vortex has the best Warranty in the industry. That's pretty straight forward.

When you buy their product, you are buying their warranty, you are also buying their glass.

Our customers simply feel that our glass is significantly better to be worth having to pay for some repairs, sometimes. Many of our binoculars are still being serviced after 25 years in the field.

Sometimes people get pissed because we take care of so much under warranty but don't cover them running their binos over with a truck. Or Kahles will charge them to clean/recondition their preWWII riflescope.

Crazy stuff.
