This.

Wish they had waited but I realize they can’t.

They trailer made zero mention of endgame I wonder if for marketing purposes they hope people assume it takes place before infinity war even though we know it doesn’t.

Ya'll need to get something straight here. The team Marvel has working for them is surely one of the best in their business. They have grossed $17.5billion worldwide against a $4billion budget. 20 movies averaging 84% on Rotten Tomatoes and 68% on Metacritic

Don't bet against the house. If they do something, there's a 99% chance they're going to pull it off in style. That is unless you're just a generalized hater of Comic Book movies, in which case just about everything they do will be wrong

They win, get the gauntlet, and reverse time to bring everyone back. Kinda stupid to show this trailer now before that has happened and these characters are currently dead

Those movies pay big bucks if you get a deal done dead srs. Basically gravy train. He's only doing it for the money.

I hear you but we can all agree he’s a hell of an actor. I don’t know the Mysterio character but if it’s got some meat on it’s bones like Loki than I’ll hope for the best.

At least they’re casting talented actors instead of models and comedians like the disaster that was the recent Predator movie.

He's one of the best actors out there and in my top 3 for sure. Hopefully this role doesn't damage his image. I feel like he's too good for this chit.

If you want a good conflict, you gotta be serious about your villains. Why did people like Black Panther? Killmonger. Infinity War? Thanos. The Dark Knight? Joker.

I think the villain has to be a better actor than the hero a lot of the time. I mean come on, the took the Vulture, who in his comic book form would basically be a corny mustache twirling villain, and made him into a menacing character when played by Michael Keaton.

Jake will kill it and Mysterio will be great on the big screen.

I'll bet you $3.50

If Michael B Jordan can pull it off, along with Jake's brokeback buddy in Dark Knight....I think he'll be alright.

Been a fan of Spider-Man my entire life. Seeing Mysterio brought to life on the big screen has me hyped. On top of that, they got an amazing actor to play him. Face it boyos, superhero movies aren’t a joke anymore. When you are casting people like Robert fuking Redford, Glenn Close, Tommy Lee Jones, Michael Keaton, Jake Gyllenhaal, etc., you’ve made it.

Actually the gauntlet has been destroyed. There's also concept art of Thanos without the gauntlet and weilding a sword.

I'd wager that everything that has happened cant be undone without time travel being involved.

Then you’ll be all the more surprised when they nail it, because they will. Just like Pixar will nail their next animated feature and Game of Thrones Season 8 will kick ass. These people are the best at what they do and they have massively successful track records, there's no reason to think they won't knock it out of the park

Not really a fan of Gyllenhaal so I don't know one way or the other: is he a fit for the role or is he a great actor essentially over-cast in a D-list villain role? Because that's the gut reaction I have for some reason, I can't even say why.

Mysterio is a pretty well known Spider-Man villain. Pretty sure they are setting up the sinister six with him and Keaton’s Vulture.

Mysterio is 100% becoming the villain by the end of the movie.

Prob but its most likely one of those “good guy needs to save something/someone so he does what he has to and bad things happen, but he’s still not evil”.

A lot of speculation out there is that the elementals are creations of Mysterio so that he can seem like a hero while saving everyone from the havoc he created. Can’t wait to find out if it’s all just illusions.

Ya idk why people are complaining saying that they can’t see Jake as a villian. I’d rather have a 10/10 actor playing a bad guy vs some random actor trying to be bad. Daniel Day-Lewis would make a good villian like Mad Mikk n Mike Keat. I hate Spiderman in general but I like how his villians aren’t people with super powers and just bad guys with advanced tech. I hate Superman for that reason also.

The last sentence is something I wonder about. Are they going to update his “power” for 2019? Being a movie special effects guy seems weird now compared to the 1960s since movies use CGI for everything now. They might use that to make some kind of commentary on Hollywood though.
