Yeah the measly refeed while doing PSMF isn't enough where the muscle will continue looking full on a daily basis. I hate looking flat which is why I don't use PSMF all too often.I do better with a normal calorie deficit created through diet, weight train, some cardio, go the distance and call it a day.

Honestly now I just think you are 100% troll.
The calories are the same 12oz dry vs cooked according to everything I have read or been told.

And according to what I was told I should have a 300g day for a refeed. That it should be 30% more calories right?

I had 40g going into dinner I needed 6 servings.

This isn't a troll. It's serious.

So while there is more volume because it absorbed water energy density decreases.

So it's the same that's why everyone says weigh dry and raw and count dry and raw.

Water has zero calories. Adding water to something doesn't increase calories.

If I have 8oz of orange juice and add 8oz of water to make a 16oz drink the calories don't increase.

Leo

You are acting helpless.

If you want to know what stuff weighs.....weigh it before and after to get multipliers.

EG.
2oz dry pasta weighs 4.25 oz when cooked
1/4 cup rice weighs 135gram when cooked

Proteins are very easy. Figure 6g/oz Uncooked Close enough for any lean meat....chicken/pork/top or bottom round beef.....

Chicken cooked weighs aprox 70% of it's original weight. 6oz raw=4.2 oz cooked.
Chicken cooked in soup (shredded) weighs about 55% of it's original weight.

Beef (depending upon how you cook it) can be anywhere from 75-85% of original weight. 90 for a super rare steak.

How do I know this....no one told me, I just have done it so many times, I know. But there was the first time and I had to figure it out and apply that knowledge.

BRB requiring damn near 4 lbs of food for dinner.

BRB eating 40 heads of lettuce in a day.

After all a head of lettuce is only 53 cals. LOL

How do some people make this chit so complicated?

water increases volume which decreases calories per capita as per logic (caloric density)

I didn't contradict.

Dry 100g makes 200gr

Dry calorie 371 per 100
Cooked 158 per 100g
158 times 2 is 316.

So keeping calories the same for dry pasta or cooked pasta is fine.

That's what I said.

Energy is decreased per 100 grams. So using dry pasta calories is fine.

Jeezus Leo, just do what Kimm said. Plus, I don't think you should be all over the place every day with your cals. Set a number and eat that every day. Be consistent. That way you'll know if it's actually working or if you need to cut more cals.

Maybe eat less processed foods so you feel more satiated? Why would you eat 6 cups of phucking macaroni on a cut? It's both calorie dense and not very satiating.

Was just coming back to edit my post with something similar. Try eating whole foods, they're easier to measure and track than stuff like pasta. Eat rice or quinoa instead of macaroni. I think it was Juggernaut who suggested eating cleaner to start out. I absolutely agree with him, especially since you're not losing eating what you are. Eating cleaner, with none to little processed carbs is what works best for me. I get my carbs from veggies and yams.

I mean, this is coming from someone who says 12 ounces of dry pasta and 12 ounces of cooked pasta are the same calories, while at the same time quoting a source that says 12 ounces dry is 1260 calories and 12 ounces cooked is 540 calories, but doesn't see the difference.

he also said that cooked pasta is exactly 200% the volume of dry pasta, thus if you divide cooked pasta by 2 you get the calories for dry pasta, and so on

I said it was 1200 calories consumed for 12oz dry.

One day (one meal) He had 3 cups of dry pasta roughly equaling 7 cups in finished form with 11ozs of meat and some sort of canned tomatoes.

Inshort he ate <400 calls all day and then in an attempt to hit his macros tried to down enough (chit) spaghetti to feed a family, but was unable to eat 4 pounds of food (Shocker), but logged it all anyway.

His logs are pretty sad. Honestly it seems like Leo just needs spoon fed a plan. His logs span pages 7-8.

I don't get it, it's not like this chit is even remotely hard to understand.

You weigh your food, then you type that amount into the app/website of your choosing. Obviously if you weigh your food raw you use the raw chart and vice versa. I mean, how hard is this? Why is he phucking dividing and multiplicating to find chit, it's all already done in the app.

The level of self sabotage here is absolutely phenomenal.

My normal plan outside of what I am now seeing as a refeed mistake is 1800 calories.
45 protein 45 fat 10 carbs. Or somewhere close to that.

That's exactly what I am doing but everyone said I am doing it wrong. I have an app. I weigh my food. I enter it.

At this point you're better off just finding a cookie cutter 1800 calorie diet plan online (with the meals already laid out.) Follow it for a couple weeks just to see what happens. I guarantee you'll start losing weight.

This will be the proof you need that your counting/tracking is off.
