I would love for you, and other leftist posters on this forum, to have legit polite and informative discourse about their political views without getting personal or insulting people. To actually state their opinion without calling people pussies for example.

Sadly I have seen it all to often from those who lean left to right away turn personal whenever they disagree and cannot argue or debate points without facts.

The facts are this commercial, in every instance, used white men as the villains, and black men as the savior of the poor mistreated woman.

That imo is doing a great disservice to the Caucasian race as a whole, as it is the white man, along with some of the Asian populace, who has led the world in abolishing slavery, giving women full and equal rights, and who has led the technological advance that the world has seen the past 100 years.

If you want to say that the black race has been the leader instead, or the hispanic race has, or the Arabic/Muslim race has, by all means I am open to hearing why that is and I am welcome to any facts you can provide that support that.

There is no doubt that white men throughout history have done their share of evil and regrettable things. More atrocities than I can even begin to list. But the good outweighs the bad and that is obvious. Why? Because the world TODAY, the way it is, EXISTS because of white anglo ingenuity and innovation.

So for this commercial to vilify a white face and a gender that has done so much?

To make them seem as if they are the cause of so much vitriol? And to champion a race (black) against them? A race that has used and abused females throughout modern history?

Seems very disingenuous to me. And very very VERY wrong.

Women in the USA experience more equality and rights than any country in the world. Period. I never once, not once, think of a woman as something who should not have the same rights as me. And 99% of US men feel that way.

Now, you go to Africa or the middle east? Things will be different. Why are you not protesting there?

You proved his point.
I'm not really outraged so much as I just don't understand what shaving has to do with bullying or sexual harassment. I don't see how Gillette or their products are helping prevent those things.

Gillette is also not really suggesting that men be better role models. They are claiming that they, as a company, have good morals. This has nothing to do with wanting to change the world. They're just trying to sell razors by making their brand more socially relevant. Taking advantage of the fact that some people are bullied or sexually harassed.
