I basically separated and divorced in my 30's it was great. I slept with as many women as I could, was out all the time. I had a lot o fun. I had relationships of a few months with a few of them. I couldn't really do more of that when any drama came on. I had the thought that if I am involved in this drama I won't find a girl that is drama free and that I really connect with.

Eventually I met my now wife. I was dating two other women at the time. I just kinda stop replying, wanting to reply to the two other women. As it was a pretty relaxed thing they never seemed that bothered by it. Then I was just dating my wife. Now that was 15 years ago and things are great!!

I got to admit, I decided I was not going to work at finding a relationship, I was going date a lot until something really great came. And sure enough it did.

Nice, what do you think has made this second marriage successful vs what caused the first to fail?

Never married but was in a 10 year relationship, was engaged with a planned wedding that we cancelled 9 months out. Saw someone off and on for the 2 years since, recently got betrayed and lied too by this person and now I am starting from square one again. Honestly it is hard, right now really struggling to find the motivation to start fresh. I'm finding that I'm not the type to really put myself out there and see a bunch of different people. I'm kindve a homebody who wants to be comfortable with someone.

Got divorced in October, we separated a couple months before so I'd say I was pretty miserable until mid-October.

I found it to be a blessing in disguise honestly, I was married to a woman who become someone completely different after the birth of my son (he is gonna be three this year). After living paycheck to paycheck, these last few months have been great. I have money in my bank, almost all my loans (student/dirt bikes/some chit she got) are paid off and my son is with me more than his mother. Women wise is great brah lol, I dont mind the getting to know someone new part since I havent experienced it in like seven years, just seems like a breath of fresh air. I raced motocross the majority of my life and stopped the last couple of years because of the ol ball and chain lol, but I get to do that full-time again so im pumped.

This perfectly describes what I've been dealing with the last 2 years. Either way, it's fun.

I’m kind of surprised so many young women are willing to date older divorced men with children. I don’t see this in my social circle.

Seems like that’d be a deal breaker for a lot of women who want kids of their own, either because they want all the attention for their kids or because he doesn’t want anymore.

Especially the one poster who said he was already divorced at 29, meaning no offense but that seems like it would be a red flag to women with that many options.
Be patient like the mountain. And you will learn to be strong.

100% serious 50% of the time.

And I just don't see that the two of us have/had? anything in common. Other than general age and gender.

Had to drive downtown first thing this morning to the courthouse. Signed papers, stood in front of the judge...fin.

Sorry Katya.Divorce is hard, even when it's the right thing to do.

I also don't think you sound like DLB, but I did do a double take yesterday when you posted some red pill (or black pill? I don't know these pills lol) stuff in another thread and at first I thought it was SS. lol

Yeah, it stinks. No desire to reverse it because I don't think it is salvageable. Still not something I wanted or how I saw things going.

I can see myself having much more in common with SS -introverted, kind of boring, well aware of how wrong things can go and that objectively I don't appeal to a lot of guys (age, have a kid/divorced/co-parenting).

Haven't even tried to date and not likely to real soon either. Too much yuck in my life right now. Need to reach out and make some social connections. Can't see actively trying to start a relationship though. Would be like "c'mon over to my dumpster fire...bring marshmallows".

ETA: The "try women" thing was at least half joking. A "look at this as an opportunity to reinvent yourself...go out and try new things".

Your therapist is weird.

And even weirder for folks not recognizing the real DLB.

And no divorce for me, only really had one LTR in my life.
