I can't imaging going through years of knowing someone inside and out, working through problems, likely having kids, going places, etc., just to start aaaaaaaaall the way over.

Do you go after other divorcees or people that never married? Are you willing to put up with all the typical bs of new relationships? Did you go on a fuk spree?

Let me into your life a little bit divorced men and sloots of the misc.
I'm back, bitches!

It's a pain in the ass now. I dated two girls through most of my 30s. Recently single and the dating apps/sites are pretty horrible. People can't seem to hold a conversation anymore. You're judged if you don't use IG or FB. I feel like I don't have the emotional energy to deal with all of that **** and play dating games again.

I would like to find a long term partner.

In my search I get used for sex by lots and lots of women that I guess don't see me as a long term partner.

I have a long term divorced highly successful FWB but there's no emotions beyond friendship between us.

She'd be a great partner but neither of us feel that way about the other.

I found one woman who I lost after 6 mths that I'm still crazy about 2 years later. She was the one and I highly doubt I'll find someone like her again.

But I'm going to try. I'm on a date right this second and I'm seeing my long term FWB tonight.

God I'd love to find a girl to.make me forget my ex who is still my oneitis.o

I've gone on dates with other divorcees, never marrieds, guys with kids and without. At this point I don't really care if they have ever been married either way, but dating someone without a kid when you have one is tough. They usually don't understand the limitations, at least in my experience so far.

I was with my ex for quite a while, so yeah, it was a weird transition, but for the best. I'm not thrilled with having to start over but it's still better than where we were.

Going through all the social media stuff sounds terrible. I forget that not using fb is considered strange.

divorced w a kid. have 2 srs relationships since w great girls. now have a harem of women to bang.

the only complaint honestly is hurting girls who catch feelings. They all always want more and I am just banging everyone. But I try not to lie to them.

Do you see yourself settling down in the future, or are you pretty much over that life?

honestly - it'd be nice. But I have to be all in. Not just gonna settle. I want a real winner. My recent ex woulda been perfect but I goofed over stupid sht. I woulda married her and put babies in her. I am sure I'll find another winner. I keep getting hansumer actually

edit - actually I have three great girls in my bang rotation and I'd be down to settle down if all 3 of them agreed to it. I'd be willing to never date again if the 3 of them all wanted to live together. but standalone, none of them are enough

If my marriage doesn't last I can tell you I wont go for another relationship. I will smash sloots and send them on their way and just worry about myself. Relationships and marriage are a huge commitment.

This is where I was mentally when I got out of my marriage. But after a little while, it got kind of old and I wanted a relationship...or at least something more steady LIKE a relationship. I was living the dream nailing new chicks whenever I wanted, but it made me realize that I'm more of a relationship kind of a guy.

To OP - I don't have an issue with the "starting over" part of a relationship. Its new and exciting. What I DID have an issue with is "starting over" while I was still dating. Like, when I first started dating it was awesome to go out on a 1st date with a chick. That would turn into a 2nd date, then 3rd and so on. But I kept seeing other chicks at the same time. So while I may be on my 8th "date" with one chick, I would have another that week that we were on our 5th, then another might be a 2nd and so on. After a while, I started legit hating 1st dates. I feel like people are fake as fook on 1st dates, and you don't know chit about eachother in a "real" sense. Even by the 2nd and 3rd dates I felt like girls started letting their guard down and we could start exploring eachother on a deeper level and not so superficial. Eventually I just cut off new chicks because I didn't want to do the 1st date thing anymore, and I focused my attention on girls I'd already gotten thru that hurdle with. So from that standpoint, I hated "starting over." I don't need to be with a chick I know as well as my ex-wife, but I sure as heck want to know them better than a 1st date.

I would think that the "extra baggage" has a lot more to do with divorce itself than actually having to explain that a marriage has come to an end...divorce can be one of the most stressful things a human being goes through.

My buddy got divorced at 40 and nailed about every hot college chick in Columbia for 2 years. Even he got tired of it and is now back in a relationship lol. His new girl thinks he is God because her previous husband was closeted gay and did not deliver the D properly. Just left her and ran off with a dude.

Especially if there's cheating and deception involved...it can feel like a death. It is a death of a relationship I suppose. It's never held me back bringing it up with guys, but it's something that does sit with me when I meet someone new. Don't know if I'd marry again.
