Agreed.

I'd totally understand if someone didn't want to date someone with kids. I wouldn't bother to attempt to change their mind and would probably offer them FWB and nothing else.

I don't expect anyone to be ecstatic about dating a divorcee but there are pros and cons about anyone's "past." Sure, it could be an indication of their future but at some point you have to trust your gut and decide if they're worth your present and (potentially) future.

In most cases you'd get to know someone quite well before ever being introduced to their children but I'd expect one to be open minded and see the positive (not ignoring the fact there are both positives and negatives though) about dating someone with children before ever getting seriously involved though.
Situations where they are a burden that one tolerates, yeah that ain't gonna go well.

As far as the "upper class religious" social circles, yeah I don't feel like I'm missing out having weeded myself of their dating pool.

silencespeaks how old is too old for a man's children to be for you to commit to a relationship with him?

My father is a single man. Everyone says his second son in I is one apple that fell off the tree. Would you be cool with a stepson my age? I'm 38 btw.

brb but I never cheated on my husband like dlb didso therefore.....
Um, you are confusing me for someone else or my account was hacked. Or I had a stroke and don't know it?

The only post I can recall that even sort of resembles that was one where I mentioned I had met two men that I felt an interest in, but didn't have any real sense that it was mutual and couldn't say what age they are. Which is true- still don't know what age they are, not 20ish at least...maybe 35? 45? Something between?

I’m wondering this as well.

I’d date a divorced person if I ended up divorced but couldn’t see myself doing it as a single, never married woman in my 20’s or even early 30’s.

I feel for people who get screwed over in marriages and I know some great people who end up getting divorced, but I still want a traditional marriage and that means marrying a man who hasn’t been married or had any children before me.
Be patient like the mountain. And you will learn to be strong.

Yeah not like her at all. Katya posts on a male dominated forum about how much she misses having sex. Definitely not the type of person to subtle brag about the kinds of men hitting on her.

Well her husband was kind of a dick, can't imagine why she'd even want sex with him.

Katya, lots of good thought sent to your way. <3

Hopefully they like children in general, can see how the person they're dating is as a parent and when you spend time with them then potentially see how you might interact if you have children of your own with them.

When both people have kids it's probably a matter of being able to relate to each other as parents and balancing your lives accordingly.
