Whittaker's posted a new black and blue one for like $1049 the other day. First one I've seen for sale there. That was about the price I paid for the urban grey model.

If you ever order one from there just tell them to keep the mags and I'll swing by and pick them up

Nah I'm probably going to rot. Going to do some work around the house, read, watch a few movies. We are supposed to get some snow so that'll be cool.

With the gov shutdown I missed one check so just going to limit spending for a bit. Prime rot time.

She actually got her first decent bit of snow this past weekend, loves it as well. She’s 47lbs at four months now.

She recently realized she’s tall enough to get stuff off of the counter now, so there’s been a bit of destruction. Been working on that with her, can’t have her stealing any more loaves of bread off the counter.

Its a net-metered system. Still connected to the grid. During the day when the sun is out the panels power the house, any excess energy is fed back onto the grid. At night and when its cloudy or panels covered in snow we draw power from the grid.

We get a credit of 18.9 cents for every kwh we put onto the grid. So say we generated 800 kwh over the month, and we only used 400. We get a credit for the excess generation. 400 x .189 = $75.60 credit.

In the winter months when you use more than you generate, you draw from those credits to cover the difference between what you used and what you generated.

I remembered it because some time ago I was watching YT towing competitions and on the big boy pickups not all of the magazine journalists (truck trends? IDK) could drive the full load, they had to ride and record and talk while somebody from one of the associated companies drove for them lol so they talked about why that was.
