Itt Miscers sitting in the comfort of their homes in a civilized nation flush with accessible resources cannot distinguish desperation from stupidity.

How the **** do you draw the conclusion that this is motivated by unadulterated stupidity? I mean it is, in fact, stupid, but I highly doubt that stupidity is acting alone here.

We're talking about a nation whose president took a 100 million dollar bribe from drug lords. God knows what drove these people to risk an excruciating death for something you and I take for granted.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

I don't know how else to make that clear to anyone with a functioning brain. If someone jaywalks, the answer to that isn't 10 years in prison. Do you understand the level of consequence for the action? Poor people took advantage of a pipeline that was gushing gasoline. It was gushing so it was getting wasted anyway, they were filling up cans to use. It happens because poor people look for free stuff when they get a chance, that's what happens.

Obviously trying to explain this to you is a lost cause but whatever.
The reason this gas line was spewing is because thieves tapped into it. I’m not saying anyone deserves to die with their body burning while covered in gasoline, but these guys certainly could have avoided it by choice.

Burning to death is an awful way to go but I’m having a very hard time feeling bad for them as I despise theft more than anything short of child molestation and/or forceful rape. I don’t care if it’s a pack of gum or a million dollars thieves are the scum of the earth, I’ve felt this way for as long as I can remember and I’m not really sure why.

Your personal experience isn't representative of the subset of the general population that you're discussing.

While we're at it, you had methods to eat. You had oatmeal and you had the tools/know how to hunt rabbits and mooses (sp?). A lot of people don't have these things, and thus resort to stealing.

Your reading comprehension and "logic" are both pure horse chit. If you knew how to fuking read, you'd understand that your bringing up people with down syndrome and dementia is completely irrelevant. Did these people all have mental disabilities and/or brain diseases that would inherently cause them to do extremely stupid things, or were they just being dumbassses via willfully not using their brains? Again, quit being so emotional.

As to your second point, again, learn how to fkn read. I specifically stated that it was their blatant stupidity that made them kind of deserve what they got in a small way, not the stealing part. If someone tries to rob a Walmart as it burns down and they die in the fire, they deserved it for being stupid enough to try to rob a burning building as it went down in flames, not just because they wanted to jack some toilet paper and Marb reds. Is that clear enough for you, or are you still struggling?

I assume he is saying they left pre fire/explosion.

If it was going to get violent it was best for them to step back for a little and come up with a solution. Clearly they were aware something like this could happen but I respect them backing down over some over hyped up waco power thing.

Avacado farmers assembled a militia to fight off the drug cartels. It isn't as simplistic as streets teeming with unwanted avacados.

You grew up hard but you didn't grow up in Mexico.

I tried connecting the dots for you as simply as I could. I really did. I’ll try one more time. Which do you think is more likely?
1) The people knew the situation was dangerous, but based on their judgement (and what we’d both agree as a serious lack in critical thinking) decided the pros of stealing gasoline outweighs the potential dangers.
2) They knew it was going to blow, didn’t care, whatever.

We both know option 1 is the right answer. We also both know that for whatever reason (lack of education, genetics, nutrition, etc) powers outside of their control led to them making an irrational decision. In other words, they weren’t smart enough to make the right decision or they fuking would have.

That is exactly the same logic as a Down syndrome kid running into the street.

I’m merely pointing out the hypocrisy in your logic. If you want to continue with your original premise that dumb decisions mean the individual deserves the severe consequences they lead to, we’ll extend it to all types of scenarios you don’t like.

No one is defending stupidity you goddamn mouth breathing loser. People (like myself) have a problem with "DEEEEEEEEEEER THEY DESERVE IT" responses from middle class, non-traveling, over-medicated, sociopathic sacks of **** on the misc. If you can't get that through your stupid, thick skull then YOU are the problem. The current government is dumb as fuk. SRS.

The president is a socialist twat with the logic of a 10 year old. The military personnel there could have closed the area but they didnt instead they just let people steal gas with the risk of explosion and well.. real life happened.

And to make matters worse, the president himself said that he will not prosecute the people of this town that was stealing... And it seems like he is cool with people stealing. There are videos of him saying things like "grab things, grab things if you need them" meaning that if you feel "the need" you can steal, this dumb kunt thinks that stealing is ok if you are poor.

Im mexican and this government can and will probably fuk us over, the amazing inhability to fix issues like this explosions is simply unmatchable, like, they could have closed the pipeline and they didnt, they could have let people out to safety and they didnt. So many things they could have done and they didnt, now all that is left is to "ask citizens to not steal" (yeah, the president thinks that criminals will just listen to us...)
If you can walk with the crowd and keep your virtue, or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch; If all men count with you, but none too much; then you'll be a man, my son.
