Sad. In all honesty the authorities should have taken control of this dangerous situation. I work in the Oil/gas industry, and if something like that happened here in the states we would have to barricade and evacuate the whole surrounding area to keep people out of there and keep the area "safe". There is a reason why evacuations are crucial in cases like this. People will do unsafe/dangerous things.

Aerosol gas is one of the most volatile substances on Earth. It's hard to explain just how brain-meltingly dangerous what they were doing was.

The clip starts in the daylight then the explosion is at night i.e. HOURS later. Government response of piss. As others have said the Mexican government is rampantly corrupt, and gas pricing/gouging is a government monopoly.

I thought this same thing but I hate to day this is more of darwinism thing. They're hanging out next to a gasoline waterfall and dont expect any source of ignition for hours on end. They simply burned to death because of their own stupidity.

You have no idea what their life situation is like. How poor they might be, how high the gas prices is there.
For some people this might be a chance to survive, use the gas to go to work etc.
That gasoline was getting wasted anyway, so whoever came for free pickings after someone already made a hole in the pipe was just collecting free gasoline that no one else was going to be able to use.

Then again can't expect you to put any thoughts into their position coming from a red.
