fellas so for me to reach aesthetics, I would have to hit at least 205...

i got a photoshoot at the end of april so that would give me 15 weeks. im 242 now, would that give me enough time to lose 40 lbs?

That's 2.6 pounds per week.
Why not set a goal as to how you look in the mirror as opposed to setting a goal weight?
She approached with her hand extended,. I slowly stepped back. "No" she said. "I just want to shake your hand. You're amazingly gorgeous." As she walked by me she copped a biceps feel.

2018 was good to me. Currently 7 weeks from my first show of the year. I'm transferring from physique to classic, then into BB'ing. May go back to physique if those don't work out for me but I want to give them a try at least.

I'll be turning 50 in June so I hope to wreak havoc in the 50+ classes!!

nah bro, keep bulking...you could push at least 25 more lbs (if clean bulk) before having to cut

yea mos def. 10-12% bf for me, i dont want to drop too fast or too much that my strength suffers.

although getting shredded is sick i prefer a little more weight on myself. i havent been below 150s in like ten years.

I lack the energy and drive I normally have when working out; normally that doesn't kick in until later on in the cut. Let's not even talk about deflation - it's hard enough as it is.

I'm still working a caloric surplus, hoping to thicken up some lean mass before starting a cut in May. I'm at the most mentally challenging point right now where the abs and lower back are getting fluffy and the pants are getting tighter. My mind wants to mini-cut and stop things short, but I know that kind of panic has held back my gains in the past. I'm loving how the workouts are feeling and I'm going to focus on that and push the body weight up another 5ish pounds before leaning out and hope I have enough muscle left after that for aesthetics in 2019. Somebody tell me it's going to be okay, lol.

Lost 90lbs in 2 years. Started lifting again a month ago. I'll check my weight tomorrow to see where I'm at. I went from a 46in waist to 36in waist. But, my 36in waist pants are falling off me now. So, maybe I'm a 34in waist now. Definitely a 35in waist now technically.

down about 4 lbs since January 7th and lost 1% bf according to my handheld unit. I know they are not the most accurate but its more about consistency and seeing the change. Extra motivation to start the week!

The model for the application of your principles is the boxer rather than the gladiator. The gladiator puts down or takes up the sword he uses, the boxer always has his hands and needs only to clench them into fists.
― Marcus Aurelius, Meditations

"I didn't know anything about bodybuilding I was just doing this for happiness and I don't want to take the happiness away. For me it is meditation, a ritual between my mind and body" -Victor Richards

yes but the results aren't going to be near as impressive as you're probably expecting

that said i think it's great to get your body back in line to be prepared for your next bulk/cut. I maintain between each now for pretty extended periods just because it's so beneficial for me mentally

What I can tell you is your BF% is just a subjective number and means very little to you right now. You're young and you have a great base to improve on for now, so use 2019 to build some muscle.

Good point. A nice long lean bulk for the remainder of 2019 is the plan!
