8. Peeing standing up.

This evolutionary ability that once allowed men to draw smiley faces in the snow to mark their territory is no longer necessary, due to the invention of paper, pen, and maps.

Instead, learn to pee sitting down.

Not only will your partner appreciate the noticeably cleaner toilet, but she'll never have to wonder whether or not she's about to fall in when she uses the bathroom in the middle of the night without turning on the light or even bothering to look first. After all, happy wife happy life and that's all that really matters now, right fellas? Grrrl power!

1. They don't want you to hunt. For two reasons. One is self reliance, they want you to depend on government. Of course, they don't want you to know how to use or own firearms.
2. They don't want you to be able to defend yourself.
3. They don't want you to know how to fix your car, they want you to stay stuck in the cycle of constantly buying a new car before the financing even runs out on your current car.
4. They don't want you to own a home or do anything where you save money, they want there to be an exchange for everything so they collect tax dollars.
5.They don't want you to take charge, they want you to conform to others.
6. They don't want you to discipline or even teach your kids anything, they want you to allow the state runs schools to do that.
7. They want you to be a bitch.

Clickbait article, and stupid *******s ITT getting mad about.

Society and social standards can influence evolutionary outcomes. Society is slowly no longer deeming the listed traits necessary to survive. If you want to hold onto these traits in the name of evolutionary hypermasculinity, you're certainly welcome to. Just be aware that you will likely fail to reproduce in the case that society determines the aforementioned traits to be completely undesirable. You are literally becoming what you fear. Socially, you're the equivalent of a mullet in 2016.

As a man who works with elementary kids I guess I should just forget about my discipline skills and all the praise I’ve gotten for them and just let the kids walk over me.

Thank you for this woke post OP, didn’t realize how severe my toxic masculinity was.

Definitely a soylent article. I think it actually has some fair points though, srs.

1. There is less and less good hunting to go around as the US urbanizes, and more and more of it's on private land. All the hunting within 200 miles around me right now is just fukkin sad. Hunting's a less and less valuable skill because there is nowhere TO hunt. It's basically becoming a rich man's sport.

2. If you're fighting as an adult, chances are you ****ed up somewhere.

3. You can't service something like an Accord these days even if you wanted to. Too fukkin compacted and too fukkin computerized.

4. Fixing things at home - aw **** no, now THAT'S something you should be able to do just as a functional human being.

5. If you can take charge of people and have them WANT to follow you, you've punched your own ticket. Srs. Anyone can smile and nod and "collaborate".

6. Someone needs to tell your kids to buck the fuk up, and it ain't going to be Mom.

7. No one wants an emotionally weak man. No one.

My dad works as a 4th grade teacher and goes full ham on those kids, srs. Treats them like a football coach.

The kids love him and he consistently gets the highest standardized test scores in his grade.

The only ones that are even valid/practical and open to debate are 6 and 7.

Yes, communication with kids is important but so is being a disciplinary role. My dad (and mom) used to kick my ass when I was bad, it made the respectable person I am today. But they made sure to communicate and talk with me about morals, right and wrong, respect, etc.

Yes, talking about emotions is important, especially, when we live in a society where mental health is a taboo subject for many. At the same time, there's a difference between open communication and being an emotional little biatch.

The rest are bullchit.

Sport shooting and target practice take up the vast majority of shooting even for hunters, which is of course what they actually want you to stop.

MMA is a place for bros to get together and be awesome, which is what they actually want you to stop. I am sure they wanted to include lifting but due to the health benefits they begrudgingly had to leave that off the list.

The only thing that is true is that you can't take apart a whole car with 2 or 3 wrenches anymore. I know lots of guys that turn the wrench on their own modern cars. Its harder but not impossible, which is what they want you to believe.

Surprised they added that to the list, literally credibility obliterating.

This exactly. I don't have an issue with any of the alternative things really either, but no need to replace skills. Best case scenario is to know all of those skills.

You can take a check engine light to Autozone, find why it's on, google the error code, eBay the part and Youtube the repair. Any Bro should be doing the 1st 3 steps at least just to avoid getting ripped off at the Mechanics. If it's something like a mass airflow filter (common) you can replace it right there for 8 bucks.
