SOTD: Roja Dove Aoud. This... might be my favorite fragrance of all time.


Had my girl try Kuwait on me yesterday and she initially recoiled and said it was too sweet. she smelled it again 5 minutes later and said she like it a lot more. Aoud though, we both love from the fruity top to the sweet resinous base. I just ordered 10ml decants of Amber Aoud and Musk Aoud from my plug. Whichever one I think is best I'm gonna have to pull the trigger on one of those 100ml bottles. They're just too damn versatile and crowd pleasing while simultaneously being unique and high quality,

Not sure. Ive gotten "its very fresh" a few times. I guessing that its a mixture of the bright citrus opening mixed with the smoke that makes it seem pretty masculine and something men could feel comfortable wearing.

Went with my Versace DB. Seems to fit weather that can't make up its mind.

Anyways boyos, I've met this girl a couple times over the past 3 years or so and we've been friends online/calls etc casually. We're possibly having a first date this week. Nothing fancy just a coffee and possibly a movie in the night. Funny thing is she admitted to me that her ex never wore cologne or deodorant and he would give off BO sometimes. Said it was a huge turnoff. Little does she know who she's dealing with. Ya boy's gonna blow her mind lol

I'm thinking Ch prive. We good with that?

So I ordered a bottle of Musk Aoud last week and they sent Aoud by mistake. I was upset to say the least. They offered me 100.00 refund if I kept the Aoud instead of returning. I sampled briefly and took they’re offer. It’s simply outstanding. The dry down/base is so good it’s almost not real. So many reviews on Musk and Amber and so little for Aoud.
Roja got my nose spoiled as fuk right now.

Cheap celeb fragrance for 10$. Smells more feminine than unisex, pretty good on dry down. I’m teally just gyming it up today, so no ****s given.

That was one of my first loves when I really got into frags. I cosign Privé completely if you do end up going out for a movie later. If you're doing more daytime stuff I'd go with CH Men instead.

That's the funny part. I think it's our nature in action, always looking for the next best thing or more exclusive thing. That's what inspired my previous post though, spent the last few months deep diving into the "exotic" gulf collection, just to revisit the OG Aoud and be blown away at how complete and enjoyable it is.


@Papillo, on this note... I just scored a Roja Aoud Absolue Precieux partial on eBay for a nice price. What should I expect? I have never had an Absolu Precieux concentration of Rojas. Couple reviews I found online say these are 1 to 2 sprays (max) strengths and smell quite good.

More of a fan of good ol' Dior Sauvage but got compliments every time I had Versace Eros on. Only complaint w/ Eros is that the scent is ridiculously strong and a little too sweet. But hey since I'm a curry, it's good to know my body odor plus Eros could get me such good compliments.

i don't remember aoud but they are generally stronger than the extrait version. 2-3 sprays is about right for them. They perform the way you would expect the extrait to perform. Its unfortunate they are so expensive.

Love this scent so much even though it doesn’t suit the type of masculine guy I am haha. Wore this to work and went to target after work. Passed by the cosmetics aisle and saw this hbb with yoga pants on and some nice teddies. As soon as I pass her, she literally broke her neck to ask what I was wearing and told me what I had on was the best smelling perfume she’s ever smelled. She had a fragrance on too which was familiar to me. Her scent was bal d afrique haha

It's overrated. And if your nose has been exposed to higher level frags, it smells like a joke.

The first few minutes smell vaguely appealing, then it quickly fades to a really bad chemical skin-scent.
