Aimpoint are a bunch a dicks. When the Comp M5 came out they said the battery compartment had to be high and that they could do a low mount version. And guess what’s at SHOT this year? Brb, your brand new comp m5 is absolete.

Just got back from gun store during my lunch break. Dry fired a Gen 4 G26 and a G43. G26 is only 5mm wider which is negligible for me, but I get 4 more rounds in the mag and g26 feels better in hand. I strongly lean towards g26 over g43, but will still probably get a g43 down the line.

Also, it looks like gen 4 g26 are like $150 less than gen 5 g26. Gen 5 doesn't seem worth it for a g26 for me as I will likely just spend 3 hours grinding and stippling it myself anyways.

Well, I bought a P365. Ended up with about $450 in it so I should be okay if I de die to sell it later.

Had a $20 Cabela’s card from my birthday. Bought $500 worth of Cabela’s cards off of Raise for $441. 365’s are $499, so I ended up paying like $9 at the register.

But nobody needs "high capacity magazines" because multi-perp home invasions never happen.

https://www.foxnews.com/us/texas-hom...-officials-say

Three men were killed and two others were injured after dozens of shots were fired by a homeowner in Texas during a home invasion early Sunday, officials said.

The incident happened around 1 a.m. in east Houston after five men wearing ski masks broke into the home, police told KPRC. The male resident inside then grabbed his weapon and opened fire at the men. A shootout then took place between the groups, according to police.

"We have multiple, multiple shell casings from several different types of guns," [officials] said.

its kind of ridiculous how well I shoot that damb gun. Did a dot test with it and was out shooting my G34 at 7 yds. Made zero cents.

And kind of pissening how well the Desantis Nemesis pocket Holster works for it. for 20 bucks you just can't beat it.

I lol at Chit & Wessens big reveal at shatshow today

Went to my local range today and took the wife. Still trying to get her more comfortable with them. She likes shooting the Mark IV, but still doesn't like anything bigger. Only her 3rd time trying it out.

And that's why you have a rifle, like an AR type in 5.56, for home defense.

Nobody wants a handgun, or even a handgun caliber carbine, in this scenario. Few would want a pump action shotgun with its rate of fire and capacity, either (the exceptionally skilled an experienced with the shotgun may want it, but most would not do so well)

My younger brother, 21, who is slowly starting to get into firearms asked me back in Feb 2018: "Why do we need to have AR15s? I think we should, but want to know why."

I explained the standard reasons as to why, but also used PUBG as an example (he has played a lot of PUBG with me) and I basically said just this:

"You know when everyone hot-drops into school/Pochinki and it's a mad dash to find a gun?

It sucks ass when you don't find anything, and someone else finds a simple handgun/shotgun and they kill you when you're unarmed, right? It's pretty awesome when you find anything, just a handgun or shotgun even, and get a few free kills on players that haven't found a gun yet then you talk shiit to them, right? This is what happens when someone commits a mass shooting, they can do it with simply a handgun/shotgun if everyone is unarmed.

Don't you feel like your odds are much better when you have at least a handgun/shotgun? Isn't it so much greater when you immediately find an "AR"? [as referred to by in game, e.g.: AKM/M4/etc] You have such a huge advantage over those that don't."

I think that those who have played PUBG would agree that it does a pretty good job at showcasing the real world disparity in usefulness between (semi) auto carbines and non-(semi)auto carbines. The weapon mechanics in the game are one of the best and most realistic (relatively to other games) that I've played. While it isn't a real world simulator and you're not a SEAL for having played it; the point is that those whom have experienced the game can understand the concept of being armed (or not) with an (semi) auto carbine and fighting those that are also (or not) armed with an (semi) auto carbine... i.e. it sucks when you're outgunned and it feels great when you outgun the opposition.

Hell, back when cops carried revolvers there are reports of officers dumping entire cylinders of magnum rounds into bad guys and they still didn’t go down. So these 7 and 8 round capacity carry guns are a joke IMO.

I got a quote from a company to regrade my driveway and put new gravel down. I have roughly 350’ of driveway.

They quoted me $2700 for 55 tons of gravel doing the driveway 12’ wide. Said they’ll need a skid steer and roller for 1 day.

Seem fair?

It's not just about muzzle energy or energy on target. Due to 5.7 tumbling/ disintegrating it creates much greater damage than you'd think looking at it's plain stats.
5.7mm rounds use tumbling and velocity as its destructive mechanism. The 5.7mm round is similar to the 5.56mm in form and function but weighs less and has lower velocity, but the projectile is longer than the 5.56 making the center of gravity (CG) farther aft which greatly aids in its ability to tumble reliably and consistently and increase its wound size. The variances in design and capability of the tested rounds was vast. Results were the most varied of any caliber tested. There were 4 duty rounds that demonstrated superior characteristics over the others in all grading criteria. Many of the other rounds are simply training rounds. Great penetration, reliability, consistency and barrier performance proved to be very easy to grade. 1. Penetration was surprisingly deep and consistent for the duty rounds regardless of barriers in Phase 2/3 and very close to the best from the 45ACP and 10mm hollow points averaging just over 17 inches. 2. The rounds exhibited near perfect reliability with no tested rounds failing to function/tumble in any phase regardless of media/barriers. None of the rounds fragmented unless designed to do so. Shot to shot consistency was extremely high similar to the solid copper rounds and the FMJs. Each wound channel looked completely different but the measurements were very close and consistent. 3. Barrier degradation was almost zero. 5.7 rounds are the closest thing to barrier blind that was tested. During a couple of the test shoots certain agencies introduced different more robust barriers and the 5.7 continued its flawless minimal degradation results.
Measurements taken on over 100 shots verified that wound channels through tissue with or without barriers equaled or exceeded that of hollow points in all calibers! There was a solid copper round that produced larger average wound dimensions. As previously mentioned rounds over 2,000 fps can create stretches that exceed the body’s limits.

Random af diary time

Paid 250 to an HVAC dude to replace a igniter in the shop’s unit... dude goes on the roof for 15 mins and goes this is what I need to replace, comes back an hour later with the part.. goes I want 250 from you

We had two units when my dad had it as a laundromat.. brb one got stolen off the roof. The other which I just paid some money towards today is on the edge.

Fukin fuk I could do so much with that sh*t. I don’t spend on myself for sh*t but handout right and left for the business. I was thinking that’s 1500ish 9mm I can shoot since I haven’t shot in like 5-6+ months I believe if not longer but nope #BusinessLife.

Was also driving through Chicago’s southside more than usual today and was thinking how glorious it would be to live in a much less violent and free state. One can dream

Hopefully work is banging this week. Let’s crush this week boyos

Oh...wait...it’s not. At all.
Hey man, the study showed what the study showed. I have no dog in this fight, as I don't even own anything chambered in 5.7 and 9mm HST is my carry round of choice.

Appeal to Popularity is an example of a logical fallacy. A logical fallacy is using false logic to try to make a claim or argument. Appeal to popularity is making an argument that something is the right or correct thing to do because a lot of people agree with doing it. This type of fallacy is also called bandwagon.

I trust you'll recognize who doc roberts (docgkr) is and how much knowledge and experience is represented in that post

Note that Pat Rogers had input too

Universally against 5.7 as a defensive round

Seem fair?
IMO that's an amazing price for 55 tons for someone else doing it. We have plenty of quarries around us, and your basic limestone, rip rap, or whatever other cheap gravels are going to run minimum $50 a ton.
