Quit my job.

Get a custom built house made for me as my primary residence. Smart everything throughout the whole home. I want every light, outlet, faucet, and door lock controllable via my phone/computer. Buy and customize top quality... pretty much everything in my home. Nothing in my house would be stored below waist height. No bending over to get chit in my own home. Oven at face level etc.
Everything customized for me based off of practicality and functionality. I'm not gold plating anything, or making it look fancy. Just going for pure quality and comfort.

Pick a sophisticated luxury car. Nothing sporty looking. Then I'd customize everything about the inside. No, not the guts/engine, the cabin. Steering wheel, seats, center console, legit everything about the cabin would be customized to my exact specifications, size, and comfort.

Buy a beach front property somewhere. Would probably rent it out when I'm not planning on using it. Buy a snow cabin somewhere as well. Maybe a vehicle for each residence.

Put pockets of money away for emergencies/insurance in case some crap happens to the banks etc. Make sure I put enough away for my son that he never has to work in his life, then not tell him about it until he is well into a solid career.

That's pretty much all my upfront spending.

Then I would just live my life. Lots of travel, booze, drugs, whores etc.

Would probably donate a large chunk of whatever is left when I'm old and done doing all that chit, or have it go to some charity in my will etc. But I'd mostly just try to be very generous through my life, rather than charities. Huge tips for those who take tips. Pick up the tab for random veterans or couples, or just anyone who looks like they'd appreciate the gesture etc.

Pretty sure I could do all of that and still have 500mil+ left over at the end of my life heh.

1 billion dollars is a ridiculous amount of money. All these "Start a business" or "Invest". No thanks. 1 billion got me and everyone i care about covered 5x over. I don't need more money.

Who said owning a business had anything to do with making more money? Lack of money is a road block for many people when it comes to doing something they are passionate about- some people are passionate about owning and running their own type of business. If that’s the case then why would that change once they actually had the money to do it?

i'd probably stare at it for a while, jump around in excitement but then not know what the hell to buy. i'd go on the rest of my day and think long and hard.
