Part of you will always think/wonder if you're REALLY doing everything you possibly can for your kid(s).
Das it boyo, when people recognize that imo it shows you are striving to do your best. No one is perfect but we can all improve and take it upon ourselves to honestly reflect.

Perfect is unobtainable no doubt but better to aim for something like that than not try your best

Imagine if I purported your argument to parents "oh how your kid turns out is their responsibility"...either way it's not a good outlook
This response is so contradictory. You’re saying everyone must be responsible in life while also saying it’s 100% on the parents.

It's not semantics at all. You've expressed an inaccurate understanding of his claim and are attempting to argue against it. That's not how you present a valid counter-argument.

I pretty much agree although I'd maybe say 95% and not 100%. Occasionally a kid may turn out bad due to factors outside their parents control, however these would be the exceptions and not the norm.
“Steroids is now just a word that the lazy and ignorant use to describe any guy that has more muscle and dedication than them”– Mike O'Hearn

"I am like getting the feeling of cumming in the gym; I'm getting the feeling of cumming at home; I'm getting the feeling of cumming backstage; when I pump up, when I pose out in front of 5000 people I get the same feeling, so I am cumming day and night. It's terrific, right? So you know, I am in heaven."

No
I would say 60-75%
Some ppl just have bad brains. Like that dude that fell of his horse and went into a coma then woke up 2 weeks later and was a piece of **** (raped his sisters, killed his mom, ext) even tho he was completely normal before.
As with the case of an altered brain, some ppl are born with deficent ones. If your a highly sensitive person u cant control that through nurture. The way u see the world and react to everything will be different than someone with exactly the same upbringing and parenting

In most cases a childs upbringing is nearly everything but it's not always this way. Some people are just genetically born to be wired one way no matter who raises them.

Then why do some really amazing people come from chitty families? Like I know people whose parents did drugs and barely fed them and we’re just evil people and their kids turned out fine.

If good kids can come from bad parents, why not the opposite?

My parents encouraged me to drop out of school when i turned 13. Ended up dropping out at 16.
I didn't know better. Now i do and it took a lot of years finishing highschool and now currently struggling in college old af.

Parents can definitely have a huge impact on your life but they don't control it 100%.
Once you're an adult you can try and carve your own path, but it's definitely the parents who will either help you with a head start of put you way back like mine did.

Studies on identical twins where the twins have been raised by different parents. Outcomes are incredibly similar.

discipline and respect has deffo been lost in this day and age. Families spend less time together, parents don't have time to cook food for their kids, they don't sit round the table together to eat, they spend less time with their parents because there's so many distractions on their phone/tablet. These are all catalysts. That's modern society for you.

Curious to know how ethical it is separating babies and raising them separately and logging and observing their lives for 18 years in a study...

unless they didn't measure or analyse parenting, or the childs upbringing and just used correlation = causation once the kids had grown up.

How did they measure effectiveness of parenting or compare it??? What if both sets of parents were good????

This is why psychology isn't science and neither is sociology, it's all conjecture and correlation.

Smoking around kids too is the biggest sign of scumbaggery and makes me rage hard, especially babies

Mirin you thinking of the example she'd set the kids, thats the sign of a good community imo.
