'Empire' actor Jussie Smollett hospitalized after attack; Hate Crime?

"Empire" actor Jussie Smollett has been hospitalized after allegedly being brutally attacked by two men early Tuesday morning in what police are investigating as a possible hate crime.

The Chicago Police Department told Fox News in a statement that a 36-year-old cast member from the television show "Empire" told them he was walking at 2:00 a.m. when he was approached by two unknown men who yelled out "racial and homophobic slurs."

Fox News can confirm the actor is Smollett.

According to police, the actor told them the men struck him in the face with their hands and poured an unknown chemical on him before wrapping a rope around his neck.

Going on record right now that this was a hoax. It didn't happen. He staged it for attention.

All my life I've seen stories like these of Jewish people waking up to find swastika graffiti on their garages, or black liberals finding crosses burned into their lawns, or some LGBTWTFLOL flag found burned on a porch. The "victims" rush to the local news to report the terrible hate crime against them. The police investigate. The stories fall apart. It turns out the "victims" actually staged the "crimes" for attention or because they are mentally ill. All of the time. In fact, I don't recall any story I have ever heard like this ever being real. There is something in the liberal psyche that relishes being a victim of an actual "hate crime". They get their moment on camera to feed their narcissism and then a couple of weeks later, there's a buried follow-up report in the newspaper explaining that the "victim" confesses to staging the crime.

I’m confused as to how this is being called a MAGA hate crime. There are reports that the assailants screamed ‘MAGA country’, but seems odd to find MAGA enthusiasts in Chicago. This is just confusing to me. Not saying it didn’t happen, just that I am confused.

The rest of the story is just horrific. It is truly sad, if true, that this could happen to someone in 2019.

Apparently there was some hate mail he received days before with childish writing which included "maga"

Also, the guys who attacked him yelled something about maga.

But, just as #notallmuslims, this is a case of #notallmagas.

Regardless, anyone who does this to another human being can serve no purpose in society and should be removed.

Has anyone actually heard a person in real life use the term "MAGA"? or is "MAGA Country" and indirect quote for "Make America Great Again Country"? Because that just seems to wordy to yell while you're beating some ass.

Well my post was meant to be ironic, in that the same group of people who would defend muslims from all being labelled as terrorists because of the actions of a few, are the same people who will string up all Trump supporters because of the actions of a few.

Also, I did not get any indications from Harvey's post that he is calling for riots or violence.

There are plenty of white guys walking around at 2am in chicago (old town, river north, Logan square, river west, west loop, Lakeview, wrigleyville). White guys that would ALSO be extreme racist/homophobic to the point of attacking someone in the street... doesn't sound likely. Especially when you consider the actor would have likely been in the gay area "Boystown" where the gay community practically runs the neighborhood.

TMZ reported that the "two assailants were probably following/stalking him, since Jesse had "announced" on social media his arrival times at the airport"....Just very hard to comprehend and very disturbing.....I heard he's going back to work!!!! Tough dude.
Fact: My first-generation uncle was a boxer who fought Sugar Ray Robinson! He also fought in the war, sacrificing the career he deeply loved, so people could have the right to freedom.

Let's show RESPECT for the POLICE and ALL FIRST RESPONDERS by helping to keep THEM SAFE AND SOUND, and thereby able to PROTECT US!
