Before Jeter took over the Marlins they had:

Giancarlo Stanton
Marcell Ozuna
Christian Yelich
JT Realmuto

A year and a half after he took over they have none of those guys and nothing to show for it lol.

Marlins didn’t get nothing

They got cash to line their pockets; those guys cost money bro

Wait a second, Mariners and Athletics start the season on March 20th in Japan?

What the f*ck?

Guess we need to talk about if it’s worth it to draft before those dates or just cut out in those.

What’s the preference here? Some of you will be losing some games by deferring if you have players on these teams

Legit had no idea that was going on so early.

I'd hate for teams to lose stats. I mean a couple more RBIS/Runs/Etc could mean the difference in 3-4 extra wins. Seasons have come down to less than that.

Couldn't imagine the crying if krazy is the one who misses out because of lost stats.

I'd prefer to draft early. When did we draft last year? I feel like we drafted somewhat early.

Will Harper, Machado, and Kimbrel even be signed?

Brb drafting a free agent

But yeah I’m conflicted cause I really would like a full season. This puts our draft on like the 16th or 17th FYI

I’ll remake the doodle poll with real start times a couple weeks out

Last year we drafted on March 23rd. If we do it on or around March 17th it's only five days earlier than last year.

A healthy Sixto Sanchez is the 2nd best right handed pitching prospect in baseball. That is the easiest 100 mph motion i have ever seen, and he throws it for strikes. Alfaro had a BABIP approaching .400 last year. Adjust his batting line and you are looking at a sub Mendoza line. He has been outstanding defensively. Which is funny because that seemed to be the knock. Straight up though, Alfaro can't hit. He has big power, and a big arm. But I don't think he will ever hit enough to make himself anything other than a replacement level catcher.

Realmuto is in his own echelon above any catcher in value, but he still does not frame well. I think he far and away will be the best catcher in baseball the next 2 years with probably the value of 35 million dollars a season because of his positional scarcity. It is tough to swallow seeing Sanchez go.

No team from the NL can compete with the elite of the AL still.

Waiting for you to have a winning season in A League first

Sadly we may never get to make the switch

Just barely. I'm scarred for life now though.

I'll work on putting together a caravan to look for Steeze in the ruined wasteland out here.

Pro you voting on adding another rookie keeper?

I think we finally came to an agreement on how to handle it. We are planning to hold two rookie drafts. The first one is same as always. You can participate in the draft or keeper a rookie from your team. All rookies owned will be ineligible

The second draft all rookies that weren't kept or drafted in the first one will be dumped into a player pool, regardless if they are on someone's team or not. Everyone will have to make a pick in that draft for their second rookie keeper slot.

So far 7 have voted yes 1 has voted no.
