A friend of mine decided he wanted to go to a race school and really learn how to drive. I've done a few along with a bunch of track days and general car stuff, so he had a bunch of questions for me. I spent about 45 minutes walking him through the process, class time vs. seat time, drills they'll have him do to learn the limits of tires, heel/toe, instructors, and things to be prepared for.

Then he says,"wait, they have automatic race cars to drive, right? I can't drive stick..."

Nope. They definitely don't.

I wish I could’ve found a 4x4 stick shift that’s not ten years old just don’t make em anymore they are fun. Would much prefer stick over automatic (no homo).

wut MT is much better for those roads because I prefer to stay in a single gear. Like I'll probably stay mostly in 4th since I have more than enough power/torque still and don't have to constantly downshift/upshift. basically i'll spend most my time in 3rd 4th in dem LA mountain roads srs.
