Doesn't even see the seatbelt the guy is tied up in, his arm is already behind his back, etc.
Our justice system was traded in for mob rule a long time ago.

So we don't have rights then. They only exist on paper.

And yet none of those good cops who investigated this found the officer to be in the wrong? None of those good cops realized that this officer violated the victim's constitutional rights?

bullchit aside i can tell you what really was going on
cops target ''poor/dirty looking people'' they follow them for awhile to see if they get nervous as meth heads usually tweek out when they see cops and get very nervous
I dont doubt the cops followed them for awhile then saw them going into the parking lot so they went around to catch them on the other side which can be seen in the video

they def jumped to conclusions on this one and i dont blame them the guy looks like he could be a meth head just by looking at him and on top he looks all nervous and making them think hes hiding stuff,

they shouldn't target people by looks but thats part of the job
You weren't red yesterday. I couldn't imagine why you are now.

30 hour suspension?? That's insulting to the victim, and the victims family.

Have they attempted character assassination of the victim yet?

In an ideal society there would be no police patrolling the streets and chit, just armed citizens and police only for expertise and technical equipment to solve crimes.

I think that them being on the streets is ok. The real problem is the drug war (and gun laws) and the fact that every single Constitutional right that we ever had has been taken away due to it. If cops were out there just arresting killers, thieves and rapists, they would be applauded. I also think that situations like this should be investigated by the community (a jury) in conjunction with the police force.

Seriously pulling over a guy and interrogating him for a god damn left turn signal? Since when did cops turn into traffic police force.

I have no clue, I haven't seen the video and don't know the whole story. I would not be surprised if there was more to the video. I feel like most people hate cops because of what they see on tv, they fear the worst case scenario. They take one isolated incident and assume it happens all the time.

Mind bringing up some statistics on this, like the % of each race? Doesn't matter if its more white people, when it's only 1% of the white population.

Well, if we are going by statistics and percentages, it would make sense that police kill a higher percentage of blacks, as a higher percentage of black people are murderers/criminals, according to statistics. Pure numbers, more whites are killed by police.

Basically. One bad cop can wreck your chit and there isn't a thing you can do when its going down.

If you do not comply with the requests of an officer; arrested for obstruction.
Resist; beaten (or tased obviously) and charged with resting arrest.
Assault him; charged with a felony assault.
You can't defend yourself you can only sue them if you have a video and if not everyone will believe the officer and not you.

It happens much more than you think.

It’s one thing to encounter a bad employee at Starbucks and something completely different to encounter one that is a cop. They need to be held to a much higher standard because their negligence and idiocy gets people killed. (Or just tased in the balls if you’re lucky)

but what % of cops are bad cops is what I want to know. I agree, if what op's cliffs are correct it is not a good situation, the dude shouldn't have a job as a cop, but then again, maybe they suspended him and moved him to internal affairs or something. I don't know dude I feel like you're a lot more likely to die from a bad driver than from a bad cop.

Officer should indeed spend some time in a cell, barred from being in any position of authority for the rest of his life. The Chief or whoever made the call on just a 30hr suspension should also be demoted/resign.

Good question, but then again, there are differing levels of bad. Ones like in this video should be banned for life from ever being a cop again. He may not do the same thing again, but chances are high he’ll do dirty sh!t in the future.

It seems like the police force attracts some really terrible people. They need to do a better job making sure those types never make it on the force.

Like I said, why would we need Police patrolling areas? Permissive Gun-Laws, tight-knit communities with people watching out for each other would be much better. Of course this concept couldn't really be applied to cities, but for towns and rural areas it would work just fine.

They're scumbags for the most part.

If not by themselves already, the badge does it.

While I'm sure they exist, I have yet to meet a clean officer.

And I'm not talking speeding or jaywalking, serious stuff least of which (but most common) is stalking.
