Thats exactly what I thought when I saw the trailer, but the movie was amazing honestly. Its prob the first true real-life anime adapation where it sticks to the story. The visuals are amazing. Alot of action throughout the movie

last weekend i was either going to watch this, vice, or qui gon jin's movie, felt like i made the right choice even though one third of vice was a snooze fest while the rest was amazing.

honestly the movie would of be 11/10 if they didnt use cringy cheese dialog targeting kids

manga was never for kids.. in the cartoon there was so much blood and guts , if this was R rated it would of been amazing

Yeah, I think that definitely trying to appeal to kids too much, but I can understand why... Anime style/Cyber punk live action movies don't seem to do well.

Don't know why they felt the need to do that, ghost in the shell looked fine without it. It always looks creepy when they try to recreate the anime style.

Robert Rodriguez directed this movie, not James Cameron. Just wanted to say that. I enjoyed the movie. Great action sequences. Alita herself is a very likable character. My biggest complaint is that the closer we get to the end of the film, the movie sorta fizzles out.

yes but cameron is the producer and gave his team from avatar to Rodriguez and also he did the screenplay in other words Rodriguez just followed his instructions while lord james cameron was busy directing avatar 2

I could watch this movie over and over. Finish watching, and start it over again immediately. Went and saw it with my nephews, we all were thoroughly entertained from start to over. Going to visit my sister's family and take my nieces to see it as well.
