• If your lifting natty for ANYTHING other than health, wellness, mental health, and longevity.. your completely wasting your time.
• Recreationally taking gear is one of the most cringe, insecure, and hilariously stupid things you can do.
• No one cares about your gains, and 99% of the population thinks you have a small dink and are compensating.
• Steroid users are drug addicts. Their pathologies, cognitive, behavioral, and emotional devices used to rationalize their substance uses/abuses are identical and sometimes even worse than hardcore drug addicts.

Lifting for aesthetics is pathetic and beta.
Either lift for sports or make lifting your sport(powerlifting/strongman)

No need for much focus on legs, unless for athleticism or powerlifting. Golden era had it right

The king of lifts is squats not deadlift
Below knee rack pulls + RDL > conventional/sumo deads
Sprint work should be in everyone’s programming
You can train delts, abs and calves every single day.
Doing shows is dumb. Cringe at my gym buddies who do them. Have friends that boxed and fought MMA who were less miserable trying to make weight, compared to guys dieting for a show to win a trophy.

Nothing improves body comp like barbell complexes srs.
There's something supernatural about them. All your major muscles just get a chit tonne of time under tension and it just makes you thicker everywhere. Since you keep the reps low, you can use as much weight as you can for your weakest lift (In the example BB rows would be the weakest lift).
brb - 5 BB rows, 5 hang cleans, 5 front squats, 5 OH presses, 5 back squats, 5 good mornings
brb - all your major muscles get 30 reps. (except chest tho)

Anyone can get big arms, legs, chest etc... what seperates the men from the boys is putting in work on diet and cardio and getting lean.

Consistency is king
Once I started enjoying and going hard at the gym was when I started making the best progress physique and strength wise
Also after a certain point the cons of lifting heavy outweigh the pros physique wise imo

Correct me if I'm wrong, I know amino groups in protein contain nitrogen, NH2. Let's say I drank nothing but BCAA powder and got my positive nitrogen balance vs excretion, wouldn't I still be depleted? Calorically speaking the BCAA probably wouldn't be much but it wouldn't be farfetched to say I got adequate nitrogen, no?
Let's say I wanna bulk. I get adequate nitrogen via BCAA to get positive nitrogen balance, but not the calories. That will still build muscles?

I eat 1500-1800 calories a day. In the last six months, my body weight has not moved from 194-196 but I've changed my overall body composition. Smaller waist, arms slightly bigger, etc.
It's the long man's game but at least you can stay lean year round. This is of course disregarding my perma-bulk old AVI.

Some people try to extend this logic to pretty much any muscle, suggesting that you should directly hit even the most miniature muscles. This actually does make sense if you are top 5 % gym-goers who are physique competitors interested in spending a lot of time touching up but other than that you don't need it. Abs though are a huge muscle, they basically counter your back.

Not everyone is going to look better at really low levels of bodyfat. Some people just don't have the right facial structure. Their body might look better but their face will look groce and make them look hideously underweight.
