Starting my cut tomorrow. I'm 188lbs right now and I want to get down to 160lbs. That's 28lbs that I have to lose. Itll take 5 months to do. I'm going to do it and I'm going to do it right.

Time to get serious. No more ****ing around. I'm hitting up the gym 5 days a week, Monday-Friday with the weekends off. I'm going to train and grind hard everyday. I want to feel the way I use to feel when I was 18yrs old. I'm going to build the best physique that I've ever had.

I'm ready to take the pain and punishment and sacrifices that have to be made. I'm all in and this time I'm going to give it my all. No more excuses. I'm ready to do this.

This is something that didn't happen over night. I've been thinking about going back to my passion of the gym for the past 10 years. I'm ready now. I'm going back to my roots and doing what I do best and know of.

Tomorrow is the beginning of my cut and my first day officially of going back to the gym. My body is ready to rock and roll, I'm ready to go.

thanks bb's but hold up

reduced sugar ketchup doesn't even deserve to be called a condiment much keep ketchup in it's name. Texas pete's sriracha is also the best the original tastes like garlic with a hit of pepper

Fuk this chit! making all this bull**** up such as waiting until tomorrow to do this. It starts today! I dont give a **** what time it is when I do leave to go and train. **** time! I'm going to do this NOW! No more waiting for the perfect day to start. Their is no perfect day. I'm ready to train hard and go through the pain and punishment in order to grow. I want to feel the way I use to feel when I was 18yrs old when I was living the bodybuilding lifestyle. I'm going to achieve my goals and become who I once was before. Nothing is getting in my way this time. It's time to train and train hard.

I'm starting my training today. Back and biceps today, chest and triceps tomorrow and shoulders on Saturday. Starting my regular training schedule on Monday.

IDGAF if I pop blood vessels and capillaries out of my eyes. I'm going to do what I got to do and that's all there is to it.

The gym is like home away from home for me. I'm not giving up on this like I have so many times. I got my mind right and I want this bad.
I truly will do whatever it takes to become who I once was and then go beyond that and come out a strong person, mentally and physically.

I will bust my ass to gain as muscle as possible over the next year. I'm cutting down to 160lbs from currently weighing 187lbs. I'll be done my cut in the summer. After that I plan on bulking up to 180lbs. I will achieve my goals.

I wont let myself down again. Watch and see how fast I progress. I got a lot of muscle memory which will cause me to grow fast.

I'll be posting progress pics here in the future. Watch and see how hard my work pays off for me.

How long would you guys say I have to having a fully ripped body. I came a long way. Lost most of the fat and added muscle everywhere but still not close to having the ripped aesthetic look that some of you have.

I’m 5’7”. 160lbs.
Unsure of body fat %.

for the level of size they have years...... to be as lean you'll most likely be looking at the 130's....

if you look at the stuff i posted on here for me to be as lean as jk202 i'd be lucky to still be in the 150's

It took me over 12 years, but it all depends on your level of dedication and how bad you want it.

I've been lifting for a little more than 16 years, FYI. That said, that's without gear and without knowing what I was doing and without making it my top priority, so, as jlsnyderTypeR indicates, that doesn't mean it'll take as long for you. Besides that, most of the gainz are made in the first few years of lifting anyway - after that, it's all quite slow and so saying '16 years' doesn't really mean much.

My 2 cents.

Take as long as it takes.

Set your mind to acquiring The Shredz. Then continue until the desired level, in the mirror reflection, of The Shredz is acquired.

I think setting time lines and weight goals for acquiring The Shredz can lead to failure too easily.

We are fatter than we think and have less muscle than we would like.

The Shredz acquired dedicated mind it does take.

BRB: I started my first cut in 2010 as a test to see if I could endure a contest prep. I succeeded and in 2011 I competed for the first time at 58. I competed again in 2012 and then twice in 2014. My avi, from 2014, is the best condition I've ever been at in my life. Each year I gained a bit of muscle along with The Shredz.
Each prep diet lasted 6 months.

Well, if there was ever a time to understand lifting as a process rather than a 'quick fix'...! Thanks for your honesty, bb09. I have been lifting for a few years, am 2 inches shorter than you (6'0") and a similar weight and look nothing like you. Rather, like a before and after photo. But your physique represents to me an ideal to approach - not sure I can ever achieve it. But it'll be fun to try.

And good luck, to those with Shredz aspirations!

Back and biceps today. No more fuking around
It's time to get serious. I want to lose 27lbs within the next 5 months. Want to go from 187lbs to 160lbs. I have a lot muscle memory
So, I wont be a lanky fuk once my cut is complete. After that I want to get up to 180lbs.

This is something that I've been pondering for the past 10 years and now I'm ready to get back in the gym and do what I love.

I'm going to train hard and leave it all in the gym. I'm going to go 110% each and everyday. Nothing will stop me from achieving my goals.

Take care to not obliterate yourself in the gym though. I believe we are all culprits of over shooting in some workouts, especially when we want something really bad, which can lead to recovery problem and therefore less optimal workouts.

As the old Lee Haney said "stimulate don't annihilate".

Wish you well and hope you gonna achieve your goals.

It was back/biceps too for me today, gonna do a push workout tomorrow.

87.0kg today. It seems to have taken slightly over a month to drop slightly over 2kg, which is quite a bit slower than I'd normally choose (I prefer around 1kg/week), but things have been getting in the way.

Mirin, congrats on the progress man

Imho it's better to get it slow, less risk to lose muscle dropping 2kg a month rather than 4kg a month (except if you start at high bodyfat but it was not the case for you)
