String that bastard up.what kind of hunter shoots an animal.sittong still much less hunting.

Terrible sportsmanship. My grandfather would never shoot a rabbit sittong still. For one it could be sick so you wouldn't want to eat it.for two it's bad sportsmanship.

That's for a rabbit. But for a phucking lion? I hope this guy gets mauled by five of them

In 1986, Peter Davies was on holiday in Kenya after graduating from Northwestern University. On a hike through the bush, he came across a young bull elephant standing with one leg raised in the air. The elephant seemed distressed, so Peter approached it very carefully. He got down on one knee, inspected the elephants foot, and found a large piece of wood deeply embedded in it.
As carefully and as gently as he could, Peter worked the wood out with his knife, after which the elephant gingerly put down its foot. The elephant turned to face the man, and with a rather curious look on its face, stared at him for several tense moments. Peter stood frozen, thinking of nothing else but being trampled. Eventually the elephant trumpeted loudly, turned, and walked away.

Peter never forgot that elephant or the events of that day.

Twenty years later, Peter was walking through the Chicago Zoo with his teenage son. As they approached the elephant enclosure, one of the creatures turned and walked over to near where Peter and his son Cameron were standing. The large bull elephant stared at Peter, lifted its front foot off the ground, then put it down. The elephant did that several times then trumpeted loudly, all the while staring at the man.

Remembering the encounter in 1986, Peter could not help wondering if this was the same elephant. Peter summoned up his courage, climbed over the railing, and made his way into the enclosure. He walked right up to the elephant and stared back in wonder.

The elephant trumpeted again, wrapped its trunk around one of Peter legs and slammed him against the railing, killing him instantly.

Probably wasn’t the same elephant.

The guy is a loser. What is the point in shooting an animal when it is sleeping? You have to be a sick in the head to get enjoyment out of something like that. You want to shoot a person or animal join the military or become a cop or join a gang. Leave the lions alone they are not a threat to us and are an endangered species. Let them be.

To all those saying 'it is just an animal' cool so I'm shoot your dog.. Then tell me how you feel after that.

Not taking anything from those warriors (balls of fuking steel), but if you can shoot it from way out, why risk stabbing it?

On one hand, doesn't seem sporting. On the other, tactics / 10.

People tend to have this concept of a fair fight but really neglect the big picture of tactics that sets up the unfair engagement. Sniping was viewed as cowardly throughout history. Nowadays every modern military has training schools dedicated to it.

I have nothing against hunting in general, but I've never understood what people get out of taking photo ops with the freshly dead corpses of animals they killed with either a gun or bow.

Lions usually suffocate their prey before they start eating them. Regardless, if they don't eat other animals they starve to death. They are not killing for fun they kill to survive.

I just don't get the thrill in shooting a sleeping animal much less an endangered one. Seems a little sadistic to me.

Sure. It's sadistic. But we evolved this behvior. Human men like to hunt and kill chit -- especially natural predators of humans. It is how we became the dominant animal on this planet.

This. And by not giving them an outlet, you get all these mass shootings.

So take your pick: shoot animals or shoot humans?

If a dog is harmed in the slightest way, that person deserves torture and death.

If a lion is killed while sleeping, that person is alpha and deserves respect.

Strong misc logic.

Speak for yourself. I don't like to hunt and kill. Some men do but they are definitely the minority.

If you are going to hunt, fine, but you shouldn't do it to an endangered animal. It's overkill and wrong plain and simple. Other animals have a right to be on this planet too. And I fail to see how shooting a sleeping Lion is something to be proud of? Anyone can do it. Doesn't make this dude tough or a badass just makes him look like a sadistic idiot.
