I'm still in the 850 range. I was 900 but then played a bunch of game without being serious and the rating just plummeted. I still have a long way to go to reach your level though. Always fun matches.

Dun goofed with this opening and was -3 after losing pawns. But checked the king to infiltrate his defense and then got an early check mate after he thought he could defend his pieces with his queen. Feels good mane.

Also got extra points cuz turns out one of my noob opponents used an engine to beat me lol.

This dickcheese has the audacity to call me a cheater after giving me a free knight at the start lol..


I notice when I play I'm doing good until one point in the mid game and then everything suddenly goes to chit, I feel like I have a solid understanding of openings (at least for a begginer) but somewhere in the middle i lose it all.. Not sure how to improve that.
My end game is also atrocious, miss a lot of checks just cause I'm focussed on getting a pawn to the otherside or absolutely cornering the king when I don't need to but I'll worry about end game later..

I call this game ''Stick to the cheese check mate strategy no matter what''

Opponent had +8 but i never abandoned the strategy from the start.
Which was to put the queen on F7 with the bishop guarding it.
After he got greedy and wanted my second rook as well, check mate boyo.

I need that Gayle1-like endgame. Often I get to the end with even material and start sweating bullets.
