Mueller did a fine job. Trump and his gang of idiots didn't break the law when they colluded with Russia.

But never forget about the other shoe boyo. The drop's really gonna smack down ya boy in 2020.

But the good news for you cultist is that he'll be around unencumbered by Russia crime talk for the next 21 months.

So you've got that going for you. As well as sub 3% growth, trillion dollar deficits, getting bitch slapped by China, NK, and the entire Pacific Rim, and other various monster movie locals.

-Congressional investigation on their own

Dude... the conservatives won't do it. Which to me sucks. The left gets to go on 2+ year attempts to crucify Trump and can him KNOWING damn well there was nothing there, and the GOP won't do anything about it. They won't give the left a taste of their own medicine. They won't hold anyone accountable for the witch hunt. I already heard some on the radio (I don't remember who they were...politicians? just a talking head?) saying "it has been over 2 years of this. The Republicans need to just take the higher ground, and finally move on and govern now that this has been settled". So basically, allow the left to be wildly irrational, and illegal, and don't do anything about it. Don't punish a single person, so the left are only more emboldened by your spineless reaction and take it the next level further next time. I was raging at my radio when I heard that.

I really hope they spend the same amount of time, energy, resources, and passion diving into how so many people in our government can be "duped" into believing this. Then when they find out they weren't actually duped, and instead were willingly participating in a soft coup essentially, they can be charged.

No. For one thing - Nixon. And for another - Reagan and Iran/Contra etc.

Trump did all kinds of squirrelly **** that lead to his own DOJ appointing a special counsel.

Obama is not without sin. But him not sending a bunch of bankers to pound me in the ass prison is far more controversial than his FBI discreetly opening up a counter intelligence investigation on Trumps suspicious associates.

I'm old enough to remember when the GOP went after bill clinton and tried to impeach him for lying about getting a bj.

let's not pretend that either side is innocent in this. DC is a swamp.

News flash...most people who support Trump are not fans of the GOP either. The swamp runs deep as we have all seen over the last two years. Lying about a BJ was probably the most innocent thing ol' slick willy did.

No, you're right. There are scumbags on both sides.

The difference is Clinton actually did lie about the BJ. In one case, the person was guilty of what they were accused of. Trump was not only innocent, but was essentially framed by his accusers. Accusers who in spite of their collusion BS being blown out of the water are continuing to move the goalposts, and will still just try to find a new angle to direct this same tired attack.

Either way, that wasn't my point. My point is that the GOP won't do anything about this. They'll take this "win" and they'll move on and pretend like they're the better people for it, and the left will only become more bat chit crazy and fanatical and become more extreme in their attempts for power.

this is what pisses me off the most

people automatically assume because you like Trump that you agree with the GOP on everything they do and have done in the past

Trump has attacked politicians on both sides, yet somehow that conveniently gets forgotten

Bill Clinton was getting sued for sexually harassing Paula Jones. That lie was a huge deal, because if he lied about that, what else did he lie about?

Comparing the two special counsel investigations, Mueller stayed tight to his mandate and investigated the russian interference (which he found and prosecuted), russian collusion with the campaign, and obstruction of justice. Ken Starr wandered all over the place and waaayyy off his mandate. He also operated in a less than ethical manner.

Ken Starr was tasked with investigating a real estate transaction and wandered everywhere.

* Starr regularly leaked portions to press about sexual details that were mentioned in his report; he was criticized for using the scandal as a political maneuver.
* Starr was charged for violating legal ethics by presenting information irrelevant to an investigation as evidence of legal wrongdoing.
* Starr made numerous claims of obstruction of justice such as "The report also alleged Clinton's job offer to Lewinsky was an attempt to keep her from admitting the relationship to the public and thus obstruct justice" but had no proof of that claim; and others.

All in all, the Starr special counsel was far more partisan and less impartial.

He deserved investigation. Special counsel just didnt find a case for prosecution.

When you fire the head of the FBI, then go on national television and announce to the world that you fired him because of "the Russia thing," you should not be surprised when conscientious DOJ higher ups appoint a special counsel to keep the investigation going, if only out of an abundance of caution.

Yeah I'm gonna pass on congratulating Trump and his base until I hear from Mueller and the full report is released.

Trump couldn't even wait 24 hours after the midterms to fire Sessions so he could get his hand-picked meat-shield protector AG. Barr literally wrote a 19 page job application memo tearing into Mueller. This isn't Barr's first go around, he was heavily involved in protecting Reagan's Iran-Contra officials. And even today Mitch McConnell blocked voting on another bill to release the Mueller report, while Trump claims he wants the report released.

Lol, yeah I'll pass for now.

So what evidence is there, that mueller didn’t find, that would justify a special council investigation?

Rosenstein, the second highest law enforcement officer in the country, recommended Comey be fired.

If you’re clinging to the “Russia thing”, you’re gonna tell us that it alone, since, you know, there isn’t anything else, validates a special council investigation?

That’s rich, man.
