That’s fkin rich considering that Muellers mandate and scope was unlimited as proven by what happened to Manafort or Cohen. Two years of hearing that Mueller can and should go after anything he finds on „Trump and his cronies” and now you are all downplaying the scope.

This outcome is sort of what I thought would happen. I think Mueller may have found some stuff, but didn't want to make a determination, so he handed it off thinking it would be brought to congress like what happened with the Nixon case back in the day. Only to have Barr basically say whatever he wanted and bury the report probably forever. I have to hand it to Trump and his team. They handled this perfectly. They knew all along the report wouldn't get released in its entirety by Trumps hand picked AG, so now they can claim "total exoneration" without anyone actually knowing whats in the report. It's f'n brilliant.

I'd say that they all know that the full report can't be released legally and that is why they keep saying this as it gives them the out that the full report was never released, but I don't think these Dem officials are that smart.

This is why you always need to do whatever you feel is best for the situation, and not try to satisfy the "other side." They will never be satisfied. They will bich about every single redaction. They will bich about every single piece of "underlying evidence" that isn't submitted with the report. If you say "fuk it" and just blindly hand them everything completely unredacted...they will blow past that and want interviews with every single person named in the documents and to re-litigate the entire thing.

And when all of that is said and done, and you've given them every single thing you can possibly think of on this subject...they will simply pivot to financial crimes, etc. There is literally no point in giving a chit about what they think on "that side," because the investigation is just a means to and end.
