My older brother is in Apple Valley about 1 hr east of LA for some work


Has legit told me like 5 times since going last week how much cali sucks


Had a great exchange with him this morning , also just now realizing that it was 5:30 a.m. for him during

For those of you not from California; The op's brother was hands down sent to one of the worst regions of California. So its rural, and poor and depressing and the weather sucks so you get none of the perks of livinginCalifornia, but all the costs of living which are suppose to make up for it. He's near a town called Victorville which is mapped like your typical midwestern small town. Trust me, people who live in Apple Valley don't live there becasue theywantto.

He was afflicted with "sticker-shock" but saw nothing around him to even justify that cost of living, and being that this was his first time here, he probably thinks the entire state was like that one chitty town he was forced to be stationed in for work.

I now live in University City so replace white with Asian. I'm 10 minutes from the beach, and about 12 minutes from work and I don't even have to get on the freeway so I never have to deal with traffic...which isn't as bad as LA regardless.. Its phuckin' amazing here, but i'm also making a base pay of $45/hr.

My brother lives in Talladega, Alabama dude. Compared to that, Apple Valley is a metropolis. Believe me, he knows rural, poor, and depressing.

As a guy whos been here 5 years or so, this is pretty accurate. Cali is a time bomb. Such a shame, the land is BEAUTIFUL buts its been destroyed by local policy and illegal immigration srs. Couldve been the GOAT state forever if it was looked after and ran right, way too late now imo

Born and raised in Cali, if we could get rid of the Bay area and LA, Cali would be pretty amazing. The large number of voters in those areas basically rules what goes and doesn't go within the state.
