Lost 42lb in 12 weeks following the Kris Gethin 12 week hardcore trainer before I got married.

Was expensive as fck on supplements and food

Was hugely time intensive in the gym and cardio ( cardio twice a day and I think the gym was 6 times a week and took 2 hours a day)

Huge amount of time on cooking up meals too - eating 8/9 times a day.

Then I put it all back on.

Then I went on a reduced calorie diet and started running 3 times a week, lost it all again over the course of 9 months and kept it off.

Mad dieting and working out got me where I needed for my wedding but it wasnt sustainable in time or cost.

This

IMO/IME Lots of variables I.E. age, how obese you are to start with, how fit you are to start with and how bad you want it.

1 month/5 weeks of hardcore calorie restriction (sub 1k) and 40mins -1hr daily med-high intensity cardio sounds about right if you are at least 50lbs overweight.

But as others have said it's not a safe or smart way to do it and you will lose a lot of lean muscle as well as fat

Speed is irrelevant.

With laxatives and crash dieting you could drop 50 fast as fuk.

You will also gain it all back and learn nothing in the process.

Aim for 1-2 lbs per week in a controlled method. Weight is all about calories in and calories out. Track your macros and start your journey.

What is your diet like now? Fast food, frozen crap, junk food? I lost 20 in two weeks just by cooking my own meals, cutting out sugar/bread/pasta and getting on an exercise bike 3x a week for 1hr at a time. 227 down to 204. I worked myself down to 180 and could barely function. Cut the initial weight, eat good food (home cook, if you can't...learn!) and keep a routine.

When I was full time BM racing I was probably eating 10k cals a day. But I was also riding for 10-12 hours. Bike riding is great if you like it, especially hill climbs. I did hill sprints. Half-mile/mile sprints to beat my time.

Or, 100 mile daily treks to meet my friends and ride.

If you are in an area that this is possible, get a bike.

Oh, when I was racing, lifting and everything I was max 175. Look at F1 drivers. Same.

6'0" 180-190. You can do it. Don't get frustrated when your muscle weight evens out fat loss. Get measured/dipped/whatever.

You can do 50lbs in 2 months definitely.

Keto + IF + 1hr cardio/day will probably do it. Don't expect to keep muscle though.

There are 3500 calories in a pound of fat. So if you were to go on a 750 a day caloric deficit you could lose 40 lbs of fat in about 4 months give or take

Someone who says I'm going to lose loads quickly and that they are really srs this time means they will give after a week and end up fatter.

Listen to everyone here and make very small changes over a long period of time. Its the only way you wilo keeo it off. Otherwise you'll end up bigger this time next year than now.

I just had an entire chocolate cake (2500kcal) and a share bag of chilli heatwave Doritos (900kcal) - with 3 cups sugar free pink lemonade and two chocolate chip cookies and 2 rice crispies cereal bars

This is my first meal upon waking.

I think it’s safe to say that I am not ready to lose weight.

I went from 226 to 194.5 (weighed today) in a little over 3 months with inconsistent dieting /cheat meals here and there. I'd say you could do it in 4-5 months depending on how much you're willing to restrict in cals, whether you can do cardio 6/7 days a week while following a lifting program

Fasting is your best option.

If you can't fast a whole day, eat one meal a day. Only at dinner. Work out hard. And do cardio. It's pretty simple if you're a healthy person

I'm at the exact weight as you, although slightly taller.
Go slow man.
No need to rush it.
You may drop a good 10 pounds of water weight at first, but after that it tapers off to 2 pounds a week max.
I'm down from 278 to 245 since January so you get the picture.
Good luck.
