I don't think it's the vast societal issue you think it is. I doubt this will affect you or I. I think this will affect actual victims.

Jessie smullet was ready to land 2 innocent people in jail for a very long time and ruin their lives forever, after police said they apprehended 2 people who they thought attacked him and if he was willing to confirm it was them, which he was.
Only after finding out it was his nigerian friends did he suddenly do a 180 and back out.

Dude is absolute pure scum and in my opinion, deserves nothing more than to spend a lot of years rotting in jail.
