I was trying to meet up with a girl today from tinder
she is this legit 5/10 asian fob. No redeeming qualities at all. She asked for my height which i lied a little (i told her 5'8 when i'm really about 5'7)
she said i was too short and "doesn't want to meet short man"

lmfao. This girl is a legit 5/10 can't speak a word of english, is a waitress, has an average body.

Honestly I was disgusted TBH.

yeah I've heard women in their mid-late 60's talk about height like it's a big deal and say it was a thing back in their prime, how they and their sloot friends would never marry a manlet n' chit like that.

It's a basic human thing, not a trend.

Never cared for it. High extroversion is the real key for a man.

Not saying that I have that but put 20 average 6'-4" dudes and 20 charming extroverted 5'-9" dudes. Guaranteed the manverages will outslay the manmores.

Not so sure about this, but even if true 5'9 isn't short.

I dont think being tall is an advantage so much as being short is a huge disadvantage

I live in a place with high ceilings. I can still reach the very top of my kitchen's cupboard whilst manlets would need a step ladder. Yeah, heights been a thing.

Have you ever seen a manlet ride a man's bicycle? Looks really cute af

Insecurity works both ways. Those who are tall and online have to make sure everyone knows they are tall - textbook insecurity. Just the thought of someone unknown thinking they are short is too much. The internet inflates all these issues, while height will always be important it's not to the level the internet makes it out to be. What's worse are males who legitimately feel down or get depressed over women who are technically lesser social value all because she wants: "A tall guy".

This. Height compliments a good face. If you’re not working with a good face first, it does absolutely nothing. It’s the same with physique. If you’re ugly, sorry boyos, all that gym time isn’t going to help much.

When did height go from something no one really thought about, to something people obsess over?

In hindsight I think there was a paradigm shift in 2012. Social media took off and the participants seemed to become more shallow and vacuous.

Thankfully you can opt in or out of social media (and misc) mentality, but if you do get sucked in it short circuits your brain and you lose all perspective.

Because there is so much content on the internet now, only the most extreme **** can attract and sustain your attention; it has given people unrealistic standards.

I remember back in Grade 4 I used to wish that I could shrink so I could fit in with everyone, hated being tall back in the day lol.

Height has always been a huge thing, since the stone age probably. If you never noticed it or acknowledged it then that's just purely your own ignorance tbh

Dat feel when I was projected to be 2 inches taller as an adult than my current height, but had an eating disorder for a year as a year during my growth spurt, which ended up shocking my doctor because I didn't grow. Was projected to be 6'2 but ended up 6'0. Dat feel...

Try to get proper clothing over 6'6".
Try to get leg room in a theatre, bus, airplane.

Normal office chairs and desks will kill your knees.

There is height discrimination. The world is ruled by the small people at 5'8" or so.
Cycling, walking, swimming.

Manlets think they can get around it by dating short girls, however short girls are even more picky about height since they don't want their offspring to inherit their short genes lmao

Social media has been attempting to mass black pill people into thinking that anything less than 6 foot is the norm -- it's a troll attempt however.

Also;
In the U.S. population, about 14.5 percent of all men are six feet or over. Among CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, that number is 58 percent. Even more strikingly, in the general American population, 3.9 percent of adult men are 6'2" or taller.

This statistic takes into account old people and illegal immigrants? Because among middle class people the average height of young men is about 5'11 I'd say.

If you use the metric system would girls still have the same height cut off for 6'? Its mostly just a number. I am 5'7 and it bas never been a problem for me. The key thing is dont be ugly.

Being short with average face is a death sentence. Having a 7+ face you might get lucky.

Only thing you can do is get a good job so you have money to see escorts. Otherwise get a rope and a chair

Women are picky about height just like men are picky about wanting a girl with big boobs or wanting a young as fuk "prime" girl... both things that neither men or women can control. Height vs Breast size/Age of women. It's sad but it's how it is.

That being said, I'm 4'10 and I've had so many tall guys adore my height, maybe tall guys should stop liking short girls so that short girls stop thinking they deserve tall guys even if we are short ourselves lol.

Firstly women have been saying stuff like this forever, and also contradicting themselves by ending up with guys who didn't match their initial criteria like height and handsomeness, forever. Secondly it's a mistake using Tinder as a metric for normal, it's a flesh service based entirely on physical attributes. It doesn't represent people liking each others personalities and quirks it represents people judging potential mates based purely on physical criteria. Statistically speaking how many are over 6ft? Like 15%? Simple math shows not every girl can get a tall guy.

It isn’t irl...

It is here for only one reason...it’s an attack used to either discredit someone or the “reason” why a person can left something and they can’t.

This thread is evidence that memes and jokes can affect people's perception of the world.

The SJWs were right about that issue IME. (Even if you disagree everything else they say, even miscers ITT are saying that they didn't use to think about height and hairline until the misc).
