And BTW, loyalty shouldn't equal 'extra credit', that should be a given in all marriages.

Agree upon the loyalty part, tell that to Bezos as well.

What do you mean? I'm a housewife (but I also work full time which my husband doesn't take any of my earnings). I cook, clean, support him everything he does. He's about to launch a business (Insha'Allah), and I've been researching, working with him to do the back office stuff like getting the LLC, business permits, setting up the accounting system, investing the startup money etc. Yea, as a housewife. Nobody lists that on their resume. It's called supporting your spouse in their goals.
If the business takes off, why wouldn't a housewife be entitled to a portion of the assets? She's supported him every step of the way. Sometimes owning your own business can weigh heavily on a marriage. If you have a good spouse that sticks with you through all the issues - they're absolutely entitled to your assets.
Also, their divorce seems amicable and both seem happy about it. Why are idiot miscers stressing about it? They can do as they please!

I have yet to see anything other than Mackenzie being a housewife with regards to Jeff Bezos's business. I could be wrong, but I have called it out and have repetitively been answered with crickets, after all, she was raising 4 kids, which is no small feat, and the very reason why I say she wasn't making many business decisions.

A fired cfo had more of an impact in the company’s success than she did, how much should he/she get? 50bil sounds about right.
Some hooker who sucked Jeff’s dick on a particularly stressful Wednesday night... what does she deserve? A couple of mill at least bro.
See how fuking stupid all of you *******s are being? And this isn’t a sexist thing so fuk off with that ****, this would apply to both genders.

Same goes for employees when business has layoffs people mainly care that they are losing their paychecks they dont give a fuk about the owner. They just go and get new job while the owner lost so much time and money on business.
Speaking from personal experience. Running a business is extremely hard and extremely stressful. It takes a huge toll on your health and having a women that not only supports your dream but actually helps you is a huge advantage. Most of you saying she didn't deserve half are probably 9-5ers that have no clue what goes into a owning a business. It puts a huge mental strain on people directly involved in business.

Still, crazy that a housewife can justify $35 Billion for being married for any number of years to anyone.
To put it into perspective, he could have literally had 1,000 hookers, 1,000 chefs, 1,000 nannies, and 1,000 accountants, paying them all $50,000 a year for 25 years, and still came out cheaper.

To put it in perspective if you had a 100K net worth and cheated on your wife. Then she took 4K for spending 25 years with you and rolled out. Wouldn't that seem like a fair settlement?

Do you think infidelity should be fined $35,000,000,000? Did the wife earn that?

Regarding your statement if an ex-wife took $4K of $100K for a divorce settlement, I'd say that's pretty cheap by today's legal standards. On the flip side she gave him her best years and now the best she could hope for is finding some other guy that other women don't want to settle down with/support her. I'll finish with this. Myself nor anyone else should really judge either of them as I bet there's a lot more to the story than will ever be released to the public.
My only point from the beginning was the logic that at some point, we have to agree that an astronomical # of xxxx is ridiculous for simply being married to someone who was successful.
I'll accept that I could be wrong, misunderstood, misinformed, etc. Everyone have a good night. Just try to learn a lesson from it all, be careful what you sign up for, and stay signed up for.

Having a $100k net worth based on ownership of a $625k company and losing $25k of that net worth after cheating on your wife would be putting it in perspective.

The $ amount is irrelevant, especially since you still don't seem to have any clue what that amount actually represents. She does not have $35,000,000,000. She earned her share in AMZN, helping in whatever way was best for the couple in building it from the ground up. I don't personally think that 50% would have been fair, but 25% seems reasonable.

Prenuptial agreements are thrown out of court. If you really want to protect your assets you move everything into a trust. Considering how quickly this decision was made both parties seem ok with the outcome. At the end of the day he cheated on her, it's not like those other stories of the wife cheating and walking away with half.

And yes I have had friends and family help me out too but once again when I'm putting up $10 000 in a new project they feel no stress their decisions have no impact on them or me where as it has huge impact on me and if I was married on my wife. If I make a wrong move it's my life that goes to **** that stress alone is not felt by your friends or siblings it's only felt by the people that live w you and depend on you to make the right decisions.

Why is it that a man can disavow his children when they become of age and not give them a single cent? Children provide huge support and meaning to a mans life and are the most impacted by the mans life choices and decisions. Who does your theory apply to that?
Okay, I’m done with this lol. I have more important **** to do.
