Even having said that, I don't even understand the logistics of "code switching".

Would you change your accent giving a presentation in work depending on the color of the room?

What if a white guy walks in mid-presentation. Do you "code switch" back?

What if the room is mixed to begin with? Do you just half the percentage of the given accent you're going to use?

I can see that if you are talking with people, having a conversation, it's not uncommon to do even subconsciously. Talking to/giving a speech, it seems slightly condescending. just my opinion.

Because it’s not. While this view is not shared by all conservatives it is shared by a lot of them. It’s pathetic. They are pathetic.

It’s why regardless of what woman candidate is running there is an issue. “It’s not that I wouldn’t vote for a woman, just not this one”

Same with minorities. Not only the candidates themselves, but the voters. They don’t want non-white voters because it can lead to non-white politicians. They only feel comfortable with white males in office.
