Ikindado it when i'm around certain demographics, but its not instantaneous. Its generally subtle and subconscious to adopt your surrounding dialect. I have to be around that particular group of people for several days to a week...and a lot of times its not intentional it just kinda comes out because you're communicating with people who speak differently....so you're trying to match their "frequency"...perhaps its some sort of innate survival mechanism, who knows?

My normal voice sounds pretty damn white and neutral toned. There is no "black inflection" in my voice at all. When I talk to people for the first time over the phone, and then see them in person, they're generally taken aback because they expected "someone else".....and maybe I sound like this because I grew up around mostly white and 2nd generation asian americans. Maybe I would sound more black if I had hung around more black people?

The reason why we can tell when AOC does it is because she's not speaking that way organically, she understands the phenomenon exists, and she's trained herself to do it but it comes off as forced. Its sounds more like she's trying out to be the voice actor for a black animated character in a cartoon, not code-switching.
